"KAI!!! HELP ME!!!"

"MELODY?!?" Kai called out, running towards the sounds of his girlfriend's screams.

It was supposed to be a simple mission; get in, save the kid, get our quietly. But of course, one of the bad guys minions just had to spot them, sounding off a alarm. Melody had told Kai to get the child out of there, while she held the bad guys at bay.

Kai did just that.

But now he was worried for his lovers life.

"KAI!!!" Melody cried from a chain, dangling over a massive lava pit! Kai gasped, for a split second remembering how 'Lord' Garmadon had threatened his sister, Nya, the same way. Forcing himself to break out of his daze, Kai raced towards Melody.

The bad guys were not helping one bit. Punching and kicking, Kai managed to reach the lava pits edge, looking up. The chain around Melody's waist was lowering her towards the lava! Thinking quickly, Kai yelled, "NINJAGO!!!!!!"

A firy red Spinjitzu lit up the night, as he leaped over the lava pit. Cutting the chain with his sword, Kai grabbed Melody and landed safely on the other side of the pit. As soon as the chains fell off of Melody, she hugged the Fire Ninja.

"Kai! Thank goodness you saved me in time!" Kai hugged back, telling his girlfriend, "I was so scared that I was gonna lose you...." The two held each other close....Melody punched a bad guy away, which made Kai smile. "So, how about we take out a few of these bad guys?"

Melody smiled, replying, "Sounds like fun! Oh, one more thing...." Gently, Melody kissed Kai. At first, the fire ninja had no idea what to do, before he gently kissed back. Melody pulled back, whispering, "For luck."

"Ninja don't need luck; we make it up ourselves." Kai smiled, as the two lovers going back to back. The vampires may come out at night, but they'll never catch these two. Cause you know why? Love conquers all.
