*Jess's P.O.V.*

I was alone.

Bleeding out in the forest, away from the others, I couldn't help but remember what Skylor said. "I'm not going to let you and Kai get together," Skylor had said to me, holding a knife in her hands, "Your never going to be together with him; I'm going to make sure of that." Skylor had stabbed me several times, then punched and kicked me a few more times before she left me out here to die.

Why was this happening to me? I know that Kai and Skylor are together, so why do I have to feel this way for the Fire Ninja? My own tears mixed with my blood, my heartbeat slowing down with every minute passing by. My vision began to blur, I preparing to accept Death like an old friend. But as I passed out, I could feel someone cradle me in their arms.

K-Kai.....?

***TIME SKIP!!!***

I woke up to find Clara wripping my face with a damp washcloth, I laying in my bed. Their was some cloth over my stab wounds and some bandages over my cuts, both deep and shallow. I looked up to Clara, who sighed in relief and said, "Thank the Lord! We thought you were dead!"

Wincing in pain a bit, I quietly asked, "W-What happened?" Once Clara helped me to drink some water, the Overlords daughter explained, "Lloyd and I went out into the woods to have a picnic and to find some berries for a pie Zane wanted to make. While we were out there, we saw you laying in a pile of your own blood. Lloyd and I managed to get you back to the monastery, where Zane stitched you up.....Jess, who did this to you?!"

I sighed, telling Clara, "S-Skylor D-Did t-this t-to m-me...." A gasp was heard from the doorway, as a voice I knew all to well asked, "Skylor did this to you?!?" "K-Kai?" I managed to croak out, looking towards the doorway. Kai looked shocked at my physical condition, tears misting his eyes. Wait, was Kai crying for m-me?

Kai stormed off, as Clara stayed by my side to keep an eye on me. I'm glad that Clara is such a good friend, but seriously, where did Kai go.....? The Fire Ninja finally showed up after a hour or so, pushing Clara out without even given her a warning! I looked confused at Kai, asking him, "K-Kai?"

"Sh, sh, it's ok." Kai knelt next to me, holding my hand as he spoke, "I'm not going to let Skylor ever lay a finger on you again." I teared up slightly, asking, "Does that mean....?!" "Jess, will you be my girlfriend?" Kai asked me, quickly adding as he looked down, "I've always had a crush on you. When Skylor hurt you, I realized just how huge my crush was for you...So I broke up with her to be with you.....That is, if you'd want to be my girlfriend..... You don't have to say yes if you don't want to, I'll understand...."

I silenced Kai with a kiss on his cheek. Kai put his own Ninja gi to shame, even as I told him, "I love you Kai." Kai beamed, gently kissing my forehead as he whispered, "I love you too, Jess." We both smiled, before getting interrupted by Clara singing, 

"AND IIIIIIIIIII!!!! I WILL ALWAYS SHIP YOUUUUUUU!!!!!"

"CLARA?!?!?"
