POV: 20 years ago at the Hwangs House of the Gyeongju Empire.

"This can't be .....why..was an omega born?!" the empress shouted....... " Yeong hui!! Look at these jewel eyes!" Her father spoke up holding her new born yeonjun looking at his green eyes.

"No! get him away from me!" she shouted covering her face with her hands distressed. "This child...he's a dominant omega who's one in every hundred thousand, just like you!".

"who cares if he's dominant? Omegas can't become emperors!! and the doctor told me that i can no longer get pregnant!" She shouted.

Long, long ago there was a time... when omegas could become emperors in the Gyeongju empire as well. however, due to the exploitation and tyranny of omega emperors one after another, "taesan" was the last omega emperor...before the law was changed so that omegas could no longer become emperors.

Regardless, most of the nobles who ruled the Gyeongju empire were still Alphas and Omegas, and Omegas who could have children with Alphas and Betas were extermely rare. Moreover Dominant Omegas were so difficult to come across...that those who were corn among commoners...could instantly change their status by becoming adopted children of Noble Children.

In a society where the value of Omegas was highly celebrated, Yeong Hui, the Smart and Beautiful Dominant Omega, born to the Prosperous House of Duke Hwang, was set to live an easy and comfortable life....that most would be jealous of.

Back when she wasn't married:

"Yeong Hui! you've received and offer of marriage. better yet, the seal is that of the Choi Imperial Family!", "Choi Juwon, the third prince?" she asked. "But he's the son of a Concubine and Recessive Alpha at that..."

"however, both of his siblings are betas...which means the Emperor will select Edwin to succeed the throne. then you will become the Empress of the Gyeongju empire!" Her father informed her.

"yes, of course. who else but me would belong in that position?" She said smiling psycopathically to herself.

BUT..

"Apologies, Lady Yeong hui, but i cannot get married to you" Juwon said looking at Yeong Hui who was meeting the prince for the first time. She looked at him shocked as it hurt her ego to be rejected by someone.

"the marriage proposal was arranged by my father without my consent. I am already in love with someone." He said turning around to leave.

In love with someone?! is this a joke?! he's nothing but the son of a concubine whose bloodline will be cut off without an omega, yet he wants to fight for lover ? how foolish. the day will come when he'll cry at my feet in graditude. She thought after hearing the prince's confession.

"Thank you for doing me the honor of offering this marriage, i accept the proposal with graditude." Yeong hui bowed to the emperor who was Juwon's(prince) father.

"i am elated to know that you will be the prince's bride!" The emperor spoke, yeong hui smirked at that.

So just like that, Yeong Hui gets married to edwin with the support of  Emperor Choi. But this was the beginning...of a series of  unexpected events.

"whats has happened Yeong hui?! How could the emperor leave for a quest when the wedding was just yesterday?!" Her father spoke bursting into the now empresses room. "he ignored me like i wasn't even there, he didn't even look at me last night" she said distressed.

"i cannot believe you were treated in such a way! I would've married you to the Jang's son had i known this would happen. they would not dare treat in such a way !"

"...but..an omega is the one with the power to bear an heir, i just need a moment....the day he comes back....to make him pay...for ridiculing me and the Hwangs" Yeonjun hui spoke mixing something in the Juwon's wine.

"Ye..Yeong hui. what...have you d..done to me...?" juwon was on the floor his face distressed and his body in pain. "come to think of it , this must be the first time...experiencing the power of a "domonant," your majesty." yeong hui spoke looking down at her husband smirking, she had ra*ed him.

"so please just be born as an alpha...the moment youre born, edwin will become my puppet." Yeong hui looked at her pregnant belly with a wine glass in her hands.

"no..this can't be" Yeong hui shouted in anger. "calm down child" her father tried to calm her down. "how can i calm down right now?! my child is an omega! " she whirled around with pure anger. "you can always have another child!" her father tried calming her down.

"the doctor said i might not be able to get pregnant again. shame will be brought upon our family because of the ridiculous law! How could he be an omega?! A beta would have been better...than this..." she spoke.

"that's right. i have an idea! where are the doctor and the lidwife father? how many people. were aware that i just gave birth to an omega?" she asked in pure evil.

"its just the doctor and the maid. i believe they're next door right now." hwang spoke up. "get rid of them all..so that this news doesn't become public, from now on this child is a beta, not an omega." Yeong Hui ordered.

"but what you're saying is.." her father hesitated. "he can become the emperor if he's a beta! we can find alchemists to mages to concoct his suppressants. i'd prefer it they have financial issues"

"But child, he's not and Omega. he's a Dominant Omega. Moreover, your son has the Jewel eyes of a Dominant Human. you might be able to hide most things, but not those eyes and his Pheromones. he might pass when he's younger. but once his heat cycle hits.."

"then i need to make the impossible possible, thats what the Choi family is good at, is it not? this child will become the Emperor...because i will make sure he does." She says looking evily at the child.

Present:

"Here i am doing my best, yet you have never been of help to me. I am sure you've heard of accomplishments during the recent quest." Teh empress told her son.

"yes, mother" Yeonjun says looking down. "you almost look like you're happy to hear his name by the expression on your face. " the empress spoke up.

"that is not true mother. i only met him a couple of times during my youth." yeonjun tried easing his words.

"hmph, you're right. i know now that emperor already had plans in his mind since then. i should've known when he decided to become his guardian. It's a headache with all of these fools calling him a hero and all now..." she said drinking a cup of tea.

Choi Soobin, a Dominant Alpha and a Distant relative of the Imperial family. he's also...the youngest general of the empire...who defeated a monster wave that occurred for the first time in ten years.

"he's most definitely after your position as the first successor of the throne." Yeong hui said. "that rumor has not been confirmed..." Yeonjun answered, "you complacent fool! The military and Imperial factions have begun expanding their influence. you will need to get involved more in Societal Activities from now on. i suggest you begin attending banquets and mingling with more nobles." Yeonjun stiffened  a bit at the thought of meddling with the other nobles.

"Do not give me the excuse that you're too weak to do so. you can look after your health once you've become the Emperor. Show others your presence as a prince... even if it's not in the form of killing  monsters during a quest. THE ROGUE PRINCE OF THE IMPERIAL FAMILY. i believe it's about time you're no longer called by this nickname. reduce your intake of alchohol and tidy up your appearence. and never get involved in a fight, even if you're provoked"

"Did you not once tell me...that i should stand up for myself in front of those who look down me? also, you know that i only drink because i must take the Pheromone Suppressants. after all, it was the doctor who advised that...some alcohol will help calm my nerves so that the drugs perform better" Yeonjun said.

"haa.. Yeonjun..you honestly...don't give a damn about putting my mind at ease do you? Leave. i shall provide you with updates through the head maid. Yeojun went out of the room and sighed in relief.

"haa...banquets huh?" he thought.
