Origin Story: Emiko was born and grew up in Cayenne City with her twin sister, Vivian. The two loved their hometown and were always very close with one another.

One day, however, the girls' father (with whom Emi was quite close) mysteriously disappeared. Not wanting her daughters to suffer the same fate, the mother decided to have all three of them move somewhere else. Saddened about having to leave their home, the girls both grabbed a couple of gemstones from their grandparents' attic (a bloodstone and a moonstone) to make a pair of half-heart bracelets so they could take a little bit of home with them. Little did they know that, when exposed to moonlight, the gems would change both of them forever...

Personality: As Emiko- In contrast to her twin sister, Emi's always been rather quiet, reserved, and slightly sarcastic. After the disappearance of her and Vivi's father, Emi started shutting out a lot of people, including her own sister. Despite this, she's still a kind, friendly girl at heart.

As Umbrabat- In addition to being more focused than her sister on finding the cure to their "curses," Umbrabat also insisted on both of them keeping a low profile while doing so. Even after the girls started to accept their new forms, Umbrabat still likes to keep it lowkey (especially for startling villains).

Motive & Abilities: Motive- Initially, Umbrabat was dead-set on finding the cure to her and her sister's "curse," but after meeting the Power Heroes and discovering that her new form held great power (physically and magically), she shifted her focus on learning how to best use these powers to help her sister and her new friends.

Powers & Abilities- When charged up by moonlight, the bloodstone in her sisterhood bracelet shifts Emily into her vampire form. Her abilities in this form include: Super Strength, Shadow Teleportation, Augmented Vision (similar to Owlette's Owl Eyes), Magic (Potion Creation and Telepathic Connection with Skyfox), Umbrakinesis (can create Ninjalino-sized shadow entities called "shadow puppets" or simply "shadow pups"), Ballet (and Kickboxing) Skills, Vacuum Adaptation

Physical Appearance: As Emiko- Emi has pale skin and light-grey eyes, both of which are quite sensitive to sunlight. She also has the same black hair as her twin sister, albeit worn loose. Her usual outfit consists of a simple black dress, along with dark-blue leggings, greyish-black Mary-Jane ballet flats with white socks, and black prescription sunglasses with purple lenses. When outdoors, she carries a lacy black parasol. On her wrist, she wears her sisterhood bracelet, which is fashioned out of a pearl-pink ballet slipper ribbon and (in addition to the bloodstone) contains a black bat charm and an amethyst crystal.

In the nighttime, Emi dons a lacy pearl-blue nightgown with short ruffle sleeves, as well as a hooded silver-lavender wraparound blanket, soft ballet-pink slippers, and her sisterhood bracelet.

In the winter, Emi wears a lilac pleated dress with a pale-blue, fuzzy hooded parka with a sparkly silver tint, along with bluish-gray thermal leggings, dark-grey boots with faux-fur lining that matches the parka, and simple plum-purple mittens.

As Umbrabat- In her vampire form, Umbrabat grows fangs, and her eyes turn red and no longer reflect any light. She wears a dark-purple nightgown that gives a silvery-purple tint when light hits it, as well as an indigo cowl with a button-sized amethyst clasp and a black (on the underside) bat-wing cape that allows her to glide, black leggings, and amethyst-purple ballet slippers.

During her very first time in Iceworld, while collecting plant and snow samples, Umbrabat made a winter outfit for herself: a swan-necked, sugar-plum figure-skating dress with long, glove-style sleeves and a crystal snowflake pattern, a dark-blue hooded cloak with a crystal snowflake clasp, sparkly white tights, and a pair of lavender ballet slippers with thin rose-gold ice-skating blades on the bottoms. She also wears a platinum tiara-headband decorated with seven pinkish-magenta gems (only five of which are visible).

Trivia: -Emiko is allergic to garlic.

-She and Vivi both attend the same school as (Arma)Dylan.

-Her shadow pups often mimic her ballet movements.

-Her and Vivi's birthday is May 24th, which makes both of them Gemini.

-In addition to ballet, Emi enjoys other dancing styles, such as Contemporary and Ballroom Dancing.

-Her winter outfit has a time limit of 25 minutes. The gems on her tiara-headband show how much time is left, and once that time is up, Umbrabat will immediately transform back to Emiko (in a lavender sweater, navy-blue pajama pants, and black slippers).

-Her favorite book genres are Fantasy, History, Romance, and Horror.

-Due to having experienced a nasty car crash while moving, Emiko is somewhat amaxophobic and tends to have a mini panic attack when traveling in a vehicle.

-Whenever either she or Vivi falls ill, the other sister stays home to take care of her (except on school days).

-Everyone (except for Vivi and their mother) thinks that Emi is short for Emily.
