Hanazuki OC: Tsubomi
Appearance: Tsubomi is a male Moonflower who stands at roughly Hanazuki's height (at least at first), and he has rosy-tan skin (with round white cheek markings that change color with his Emotions), juniper-green hair with lash-grazing bangs, and a MoonPlume that resembles a daisy. In terms of clothing, he typically wears an ivory-colored short-sleeve shirt (with white on the ends of the sleeves), as well as a pair of long grass-green pants and dark-brown dance shoes. However, when traveling on the Dark Side of his moon (an icy tundra), he dons a pine-green tundra coat, wood-brown pants, snow-colored earmuffs, and pinecone-brown boots (though he might change into ivory-colored skates) and mittens.
Personality: Tsubomi is a gentle, sensitive peace-lover who can't stand to see (or hear) others fighting. He's used to the natural serenity of his own moon, so he easily gets overwhelmed when he ends up on another one. He enjoys expressing his Emotions through dancing (it's actually part of his "Treasure-coloring process") and has his own method of gooping Treasure Trees (getting some goop on his hands/arms and then hugging the trees).
History: Tsubomi was planted on a lush green moon with an abundance of mountains and wildlife, which he considers a sanctuary of nature and serenity. He'd never been on any other moons or met any other Moonflowers. However, when his moon's Alterlings started getting abducted by "The Poachers" (the spaceship that took several of Miyumi's Slooths), Tsubomi started going into a tearful panic. Luckily, there might be hope for him.
Powers and Abilities: Out of all the Treasure Tree colors out there, Tsubomi is most adept at growing trees in Pink, Yellow, Lime Green (especially when "The Poachers" started coming in), Dark Green (when in his comfort zone), and Blue. He can also learn the language of any creature (including Treasure Trees) just by listening to them speak for long enough. Additionally, Tsubomi's highly skilled in dancing, sewing (he might also teach it to Miyumi), and ice-skating (or as he calls it, "ice-dancing").
Relationships:
Maroshi- Tsubomi kinda looks up to Maroshi due to the latter's greater experience with foreign moons and ability to keep calm in unusual situations. Maroshi quickly took to the "chill nature vibe" of Tsubomi's moon, but the Dark Side... reminds him of what happened to his own moon (if Tsubomi heard the story, he'd probably break down in tears).
Hanazuki- She was quick to notice his sensitivity (especially when he had the Moonflower equivalent of a sensory overload when coming to her moon), and she tries to help keep him comfortable (or at least help him work through his anxieties). He greatly appreciates this (and is impressed by her green thumb).
Kiyoshi- He and Tsubomi have their similarities (they're both thoughtful, caring, and prone to panicking when things go south), and the peace-loving Moonflower might have some admiration for the more scruffy Moonflower, but Tsubomi really isn't as into science. He might have his curiosities about first aid, though.
Kiazuki- Tsubomi's easily intimidated by Kiazuki's abrasive nature. That being said, he also greatly sympathizes with what happened to her moon and Alterlings. She kinda sees some shades of Hanazuki (when she first met her Moonflower sister) in him.
Miyumi- There might be some attraction between them, and Tsubomi would teach Miyumi about sewing.
Dazzlessence Jones- They've bonded over a mutual love for dancing, but they also have quite a few "creative differences."
Sleepy Unicorn- Upon meeting Sleepy, Tsubomi was quickly overwhelmed with cuteness and started giving the lethargic, magical equine a whole bunch of cuddles (not that Sleepy minded).
Trivia: -He'd probably love yoga.
-I've got three choices for who'd voice him: Cristina Valenzuela, Nika Futterman, and Cristina Milizia.
-He's frequently accompanied by a Dark Green cockatiel-like Alterling (Rockatiel?) known as Mellody, and he enjoys dancing along to her singing.
-His name is Japanese for "bud."
