The story of the maxwells, it's quite the tale. Hidden in the sun light layer of the sea was a beautiful kingdom...they had a royal family that has been ruling since the kingdom was nothing but a empty reef. In this kingdom where all types of merfoke, normal and those who had sea animal like parts. The Maxwell were these types of merfoke, Mike Maxwell was a type of shark while his wife, Sam Maxwell was mixed with an a squid. They had two kids, luan and John Maxwell. John was a type of shark like his father but he had a mix of eel so he could shock people and had fangs. Luan seemed to be a type of cuddle fish, her tail and body having parts that glew when she expressed her emotions.
They lived happily and with no fear till someone at the palace was killed...they said it was a squid mer person and after looking the only one they found was Sam. Having no other choice sam was killed. After that animal merpeople and normal began to fight, hating and scared of one another. The merpeople chased the others down to the deepest parts of the ocean. Instead of breaking and giving in the animal merpeople made their own kingdom, Mike taking over. Now he what's nothing to do with the people of the light and even forbids his children from going up but it's never stopped Luna...but one day they will get her in trouble.
