He also has two scars going over his left eye, and can summon a pair of feathered wings that are as black as the night itself.

Fighting style: He uses a fighting style similar to Vergil's Dark Slayer style from DMC 4, iaijustu(Quickdraw sword technique), and laido(Japanese sword fighting technique that involves unsheathing the blade for a rapid attack then resheathing it), while using his powers to keep his opponents off balance. His powers and weapons allow Nihil to fight in close combat and at a distance, though he prefers to fight up close. He also knows all of Vergil's moves from DMC 4.
Backstory(300 years before Ruby): He was once one of the greatest Huntsmen of his time, but was betrayed by Ozpin, a man who he once called friend, when Ozpin left him to die during a battle with armies of Grimm. Enraged by this betrayal, he was given a second chance by a mysterious unknown being. After that, he gained powers and abilities beyond any mortal, at the cost of his humanity, and ability to walk in the light. Now reborn as Nihil Umbra, he was approached by Salem with an offer of revenge, in exchange for an alliance with her. He agreed, and joined her side.
First Personality: Calm, stoic, cold, patient, emotionless, reserved, slightly nihilistic, manipulative, strategic, deceitful, cunning, calculating, conniving, ruthless, perceptive, insidious, heartless, and observant. -Mainly uses umbrakinesis, only uses other powers when he is outmatched or outnumbered.
-The range of his powers is based on his vision's range.
-He can create a shield of shadows to protect himself from light and attacks, but it will dissolve within 16 hours.
-He has absolutely no resistance to light, as his whole body is made of shadows.
-He can die, but if you don't use light to completely destroy his body, he will come back within a matter of minutes to hours, depending on the amount of shadows in the room/area.
-When he goes into demon form, his other symbol will appear under his feet, and a column of shadow will shoot up out of it, shifting him into that form.
-With umbrakinesis, he can animate shadows at will, heal himself with shadows, create a field of absolute darkness which can consume everything except the Primordials and his followers, absorb certain types of light, cloak himself with shadows, has a natural adaptation to darkness/night, possesses an extremely high aptitude for stealth, use shadows to empower his weapons, fire shadow energy blasts, send out waves of shadow energy by slashing with his empowered blades, solidify shadows, make constructs from shadows(Such as tendrils, chains, weapons, threads, etc.), manipulate the properties of shadows, move/lift shadows, replicate and use shadow copies of the elements(Such as fire, ice, wind, etc), use shadows to fly, store/transport items and/or people in shadows, and can affect people by attacking their own shadow.

-He personally fought and killed Summer Rose and Phyrra Nikos, they are some of the very few humans to have ever earned his respect in battle.

-There was another person who was betrayed by Ozpin, a comrade who went by the name Justin Knightfall. They both were granted a second chance by the mysterious being, but Justin became a vampire. Afterwards, they went their own separate ways. After a few years, he and Salem approached Justin, hoping to bring him over to their side. He became furious when Justin not only declined the offer, he had also attacked Salem, leaving her with a scar. He quickly grabbed Salem and retreated with her, but not before swearing vengeance upon Justin for what he did to her. Once very close comrades, they are now bitter enemies, who want nothing more than to destroy each other and erase every trace of the other's existence.

-Due to having devoured millions of souls, Nihil's personality can change drastically, and a chorus of voices start speaking when he gets angry.
Secret: He had a brief, discreet intimate relationship with Raven Branwen, which lasted for a few years, then it ended two years before he infiltrated Beacon. Raven fears and respects him greatly, though the reason for this is unknown. They are mainly enemies, but their relationship is off and on most of the time.
Secret 2: Though Nihil is the leader of the Darkness, the only reason the other members have not killed him and his family is because of his power and his near endless armies. But now he has grown tired of it all, and waits patiently for a chance to eliminate all members of the Darkness so that he can fade from memory and live a peaceful life with his family in his Dark Realm.
