Background: His personality is calm and shy, and he is often mistaken for being a serious person, but he'll actually be quite kind if you get him come up to him, and he'll be rather overprotective of his loved ones, especially his little sister, Jessie. He always likes a challenging battle, especially against Erza and/or Mira. Is one of the only people who can beat Erza, and because of this, she looks up to him. He was separated from Jessie at the age of 6 but recently reunited with her (Forgotten). He feels like he should join Sabertooth to atone for not being there for his father, but hates leaving his little sister alone. Often turns into a shadow in combat, therefore many people confuse him with Rogue, which he consequently hates. He always gets flustered from praise in anything he does, whether it's for his cooking or his skills in combat, and is very overprotective of Jessie.
