Backstory: Swallow was the last one in her hatching to hatch. She spent the first year of her life in the swamps of the Mud Kingdom training with her siblings. she was always the "shy one" so he siblings, in particular Pebble, looked out for her since the group always drew unwanted attention since they had a hybrid in their ranks. Since they drew too much attention in the Mud Kingdom, they moved to Possibility. Swallow and Pebble grew close during that first year and even closer in the second. During a fight between some Sandwings, their brother Wren attempted to diffuse the situation but unfortunately caused more problems as one SandWing still believed that the MudWings had caused the explosions at the oasis, that SandWing attacked him without warning and killed him. This left a lasting imprint on Swallow's memory as she blamed herself for not protecting him. After that, Swallow became more reserved and spent a lot of her time in the library reading about the other tribes and hopefully create some peace between the MudWings and SandWings. A few days before her 6th hatching day, the Jade Mountain Academy welcomed its first set of students. The school drew Swallows interest as soon as she heard about it and she had hope that this would encourage the tribes to make peace. Sadly the school was plagued with problems and difficulty but she didn't let this deter her. As soon as she could, she sent several letters to Queen Morhen
about why she wanted to go to school. Eventually she got a place.
