Personality: On the outside, Egret appears as an intelligent but self-centred dragonet. However, underneath, he is an independent, motivated and surprisingly generous individual. Despite his generosity, his lack of time growing up with his siblings has caused him to be antisocial.
Backstory: Egret hatched as an only dragonet shortly after his mother left. He was left with his father, who was a blacksmith. His father worked long hours and rarely had time to spend with his son, so he spent a lot of time learning how to catch fish in the river. He also spent some time in the library, where the kind Nightwing librarian taught him how to read and write. At age 4 he started attending a small school in possibility where he learned maths and he began to help his father in the forge afterwards. He would spend hours watching his father work and noting the finer details of his technique. He would secretly sneak out to the forge at night and practice himself. Often, he would leave his best pieces out on the side hoping that his father would notice. Unfortunately his father rarely realised that his son made the daggers and armour and sold them as his own. After a few years of this, Egret made the decision to leave the forge and move to the Rainforest. His experience with smithing helped him to acquire a job in the NightWing Village making weapons and armour for the NightWing Soldiers. At one point, he even made some armour as a gift for Queen Fern. One day, a messenger from the Mud Kingdom arrived with an invitation to the Treetop Academy.
