Personality: he is an honourable man, and takes it very seriously. Some of the other pirates think he's a bit dull and prissy, and that may be slightly true. He is a sweet boy when you get to know him, and is good friends with the captain and first mate. He is often found practicing sword training, and enjoys furthering his skill. One day he wishes to return home and give his mother everything she ever wanted.

Likes: a fair duel, playing the flute, chameleons and fiddling with his mother's trinkets

Dislikes: dishonourable people, taking someone off guard, pranks and slaking off

Strengths: he's a skilled swordsman

Weaknesses: sometimes his noble attitude can make him *too* chivalrous. He takes honour very seriously, and in an industry where most people fight dirty, that can be a disadvantage

Backstory: his father is the heir to a seaside estate. Or so his mother, an Arabian merchant's daughter, tells everyone. The tale goes that she met him at the markets in summer, and they had a romantic fling. But he had to go back inland after his father's death. He promised to return and find her again, but he never did. No one thinks this wild story is true. But Josh believes her. His mother told him the story most nights as a child, sometimes making up things to change it up, like how they'd sailed to a small island to conceive him, and minute details like that. Or maybe they were true. Josh's mother still believes that his father will come and get them, and keeps her hopes up. Josh aims to be the noble man his father would have wanted him to be if he had been a legitimate son. Except that he's a pirate.

Other: his mother and grandfather had a chameleon named Zebadea (Ze-ba-dee) when he was young
