Growing up Aurelia was raised around very strict rules, from her training to how she held herself around people. Her parents were the type of people to be very careful with their image because of this she rarely spent time with them and when she did it didn't go over to well with them pointing out things she did wrong on past missions. This caused her to rebel against them quite often, this lead to her sneaking away from the institute on multiple occasions to meet with a Seelie she was seeing leading to her finding out she was pregnant at seventeen. Once she found out she left knowing her parents would most likely force her to get rid of the baby, she didn't tell anyone she left leading to search parties being sent after her because of this she eventually stumbled upon Dot and Jocelyn hesitantly telling the two why she was running before gaining their help to hide herself and her son. Nearly a year after she found herself with Her son strapped to her chest and a panicked Clary outside the police station after the circle members had found Jocelyn because of this she was thrust back into the shadowworld she had run from.
