i went to the park today for some fresh air

the skies were blue and cloudless, but the sun was nearly blistering

i found refuge under the shade of a large oak tree

a butterfly landed on my shoulder. it was magnificently purple. it stayed there for only a second before fluttering away

i sat on a bench reading my book - the princess bride. an elderly woman and a charming young man my age came to sit next to me, both in their own time

it was nice to have some company

most days, i'm all alone

tomorrow i'm going to come back
