Irisheart wailed in grief as she stood over Squirrelpaw's dead body. "It wasn't....your fault..." Lionstride's voice faltered. "Yes it was!" Irisheart screeched. Sootsky, ignoring their....argument, stared closely at Squirrelpaw's chest. The world around his went in fast motion as he saw barely a faint fall and rise of the 'dead' apprentice's chest. "She's alive!" Sootsky yowled. Irisheart looked at Sootsky. "That can't be possible!" She hissed, staring grief-stricken at Squirrelpaw's body. "No! If you look close enough, you can barely make out of the faint fall and rinse of her chest!" Sootsky growled as he rolled his eyes.

Irisheart married her eyes and began to nudge the apprentice gently. Everyone held their breath as they waited to see if the apprentice would wake up. Irisheart but her lips as she shook a little faster. "C'mon...wake up!" She hissed in a soft voice. Suddenly, Squirrelpaw sputtered to life, coughing up blood as he head fell back again. Meadowlight yowled in joy as Volepaw and Wisppaw, the siblings, purred in delight. Aldermask smiled and Sootsky smiled nervously as he looked around, his small legs shaking. "Squirrelpaw? Can you wake up?" Irisheart mewed gently. "Go away...." Squirrelpaw moaned as she pawed the Medicine cat away. "At least she still has her attitude." Meadowlight stifled a mrrow of laughter.

Irisheart didn't reply and got to work as soon as possible.

It was near sundown when Squirrelpaw had woken and was sitting near the fresh-kill pile. Swiftflight's yowls of pain and agony echoed the hollow camp as she was kitting, and Squirrelpaw was getting irritated. Sootsky had gone out to search for Shrewstep and hadn't returned. Suddenly, the camp entrance rustled and Shrewstep appeared, but not alone. He had Stormpaw and five dogs with him, the largest--Half the size of a Monster--was holding Sootsky's bloody, broken body. "This is what happens when you try to resist me." Shrewstep smirked and flicked his tail. The fight started. Cats rushed from their dens to protect the nursery and their beloved Clan as the dogs surged forward. Autumnpaw, being brave, hurled herself straight at a dog, sending it fleeing with its tail between its legs.

"C'mon Creekclan! We will not fall!" She yowled, but paled when Shrewstep yowled and more dogs surged into camp. Meadowlight hurled herself at a dog, was sent flying across the clearing, not getting up. Volepaw yowled in terror Wisppaw collapsed, and a dog grabbed him. Aldermask yowled in terror as a dog threw him in the air and caught him, making the warrior go limp.

"Stop!"

The battle froze as Squirrelpaw stalked up to Shrewstep. "Leave." Shrewstep smirked and the biggest dog grabbed Squirrelpaw by the scruff. "Let's watch your Clan's demise together!" He hissed as Stormkit fell to the ground, dead. CloudKit, Stormkit's sibling, approached the dead body. "Stormkit!" The kit's cry echoed as another dog grabbed JewelHeart by the scruff. Suddenly, Shrewstep yowled on retreat, fleeing with the dogs. The dogs that held Jewelheart and Squirrelpaw stood. One dropped Jewelheart and scampered away, but the other pinned Squirrelpaw to the ground and bit the apprentice's neck, and hearing the satisfying crunch of bone, it fled along with its pack of blood-thirsty Kanine dogs.

Ok, Everyone, this is short, but it's basically what happened! Hope you enjoyed, because next I'm working on Lionstride's betrayal, a day after this battle.
