Personality: Despite her appearance, she's surprisingly friendly. She is adventurous and loyal, but also rather cunning and clever. She's careful of who she trusts, and even who she comes into contact with most of the time seeing the massive prejudice against her race. Often, she can come off as intimidating, and it is not uncommon for her to use that to her advantage.
Likes: Magical artefacts and tomes, magic itself, travelling, art of the blade, being able to trust someone, intricate blades and other weapons, music, peppermint, chocolate, rain, clouded skies.
Dislikes: Being thrown out of places, completely sunny days, being unable to move for too long, the crown, crowns guard, crowded areas, areas with mainly human or elven populations.
Flaws: Direct sunlight can physically harm her and makes it harder to focus on anything, very paranoid about people
Habits: Tapping her fingers on any object she's holding or any nearby surface, if neither are available she taps her leg, clenching her jaw when she's angry or nervous.

History: Zarina had a reasonably normal life growing up. Or as normal as life can be when half your village are trained assassins. Dark elves, in history, were once notorious for being criminals and killers due to their incredible ability to hide in the shadows. That ideal has yet to fade in the current state of the world, leaving the dark elves of the day deal with those consequences their whole lives. Many refuse to leave their villages in fear of discrimination.

Zarina and her younger sister, Amelda, grew up among the other children of the village. Together, they learned incredible fighting techniques, as well as many other ways of expression, like art, dance (which she was never really good at), and music. She left her village when she was about 16 to find a cure for a rare illness that her sister had gotten, believing it was better to go out into the world and save her sister rather than stay in the village from fear of prejudice. Along the way, she discovered a love of adventure and traveling. So, after returning to successfully cure her sister, she set off again, this time to learn about the world and what wonders it held.
