Well her brother was all about politics from a young age. She joined him in his thoughts only she has zero clue where he was talking about. He explained it to her many times but she just doesn't really understands so she follows him in what he does.

Kattie become pretty violent. Anger issues and everything. Why? Basically because she is not the smartest. She has a really good logic skill but if it comes to knowledge she has a really low level. She just doesn't seem to keep the information in her head. Like school information, simpel math sure, she can do 1+1 but 12x14 she has no clue.
Her brother really helped her out with this but well she gave up on learning.

She felt really lonely durring the war. Her brother was gone and she couldn't go with him.
She did do what he asked her but since she has no idea how politics works she just left it aside a little.
The men that didn't join the army and where friends with her brother, she could just go to them. Some of them even helped her train. She always looked up to fighters and even tho she is a girl she loves to be one later.
