Her parents didn't pick the names because of their meanings. The main reason is the fact that her mother liked them both very much, especially since her grandmother's name was Verena. Mae likes her name and wouldn't want to change it. She does think it is a bit long, but her nickname can fix that.

• Special occasion: Mae needs to wear dresses on special occasions. She prefers longer dresses like the red one in the picture. She has a lot of different dresses and tries to wear a different one each time.
• Casual: In her free time Mae prefers to wear skirts or dresses, because she feels prettier wearing them (the two left pictures). Occasionally she wears pants, usually trousers, like the one on the right. She always needs to look classy, which means that she can't wear whatever she wants. You will never see her in comfortable sweatpants or a hoodie.

❥Personality
Maeriana is very serene and chooses peace above drama. She likes to be on herself, mostly to think or relax. But even though she looks calm, her mind is spinning. She tries to shut of all the sounds in an attempt to put her mind at ease. Unfortunately she is unable to do this on her own, this means that she is always dependent on her special hearing aid. Without it her headache becomes even worse en normal sounds would hurt her ears.
Mae is very friendly and takes promises extremely serious. Once you start talking with her, you realise that she talks very soft and calm. As if she chooses her words carefully. As a princess she has no room for spoken mistakes. Better save than sorry. She likes to keep quiet and listen, so she doesn't stand up for her self. She is afraid what might happen if she decides to confront someone.   She is an intelligent girl with a high IQ, which makes her score in the top 2%. They never tested her IQ, but the professors estimate it somewhere between 140-150. She doesn't like to show it off, so instead she keeps it to herself. She never makes fun of ''dumber'' people or when somebody makes a mistakes. She still respects them and usually gives them a hand.

Maeriana is the youngest of four. This means that her chance to be queen is really small. She doesn't want to be anyway, so that's a relieve. Growing up she had some difficulty's with attention. She always lived in the shadows of her older siblings, especially since she knew she was different. Since birth her parents noticed that something was going on, she was alway's crying and could hardly sleep. When they brought her to the doctor, he found out she was a mutant. He had the power to know the powers of others, so he immediatly knew something was off. Of course he didn't tell her parents, that wouldn't end well. Instead he told them she was almost deaf and he send them to his friend. He designed an earpiece that would mute most sounds, so they appear normal to hear. Her family and the public all think it helps her hear, an illusion that keeps her safe. 

The earpiece charges really fast, so she can wear it as much as possible. When she sleeps, she wears earplugs to keep the silent noises out. Despite this power and all the drama that comes with it, she had a pretty good childhood. She got everything she wanted, which ment that she had the best teachers.   She always excelled at school, which made her intelligents show up. Even the professors found it hard to challenge her. In her free time she sat in a quiet corner in the library, reading non-fictional books. Her curiosity and eagerness to learn helped her to become even smarter. She skipped a couple of grades and got her high school diploma at 15. Because of her young ages, her parents decided that she had to wait to start university. Instead she did three years of homeschooling by professors who would teach her instead. At 18 she started studying medicine & psychology. She combined the two and is now in her second year of university. She still has a couple of courses left, but she will propably get her bachelors degree at the end of this year.

❥ Enhanced Hearing
Mae can hear with amazing clarity, distance, and even frequencies outside the normal range. This means that she can hear even the smallest of sounds, but she can't turn it off. So the loud noises may hurt her sensitive ears, for this reason she always wears special hearing aid (see picture below) that mute the sounds.  She loves to eavesdrop, and thanks to her power, she can do this very smootly. But hearing so many different noises also means that she is always on sharp. Therefore she can never hear silence and just relax. Because of this she has a love/hate relationship with her power.
❥ Voice
Mae didn't know she could do this, but she has a really strong voice. She used to talk really soft, because it would feel weird if she talked louder. She tought it was because of her hearing, but it's not. She can, for example, scream at a really high pitch. It would break glass and could even harm the eardrums, causing them to bleed. This is the only thing she can do right now, but if she trains, she will be able to be more precise with her pitch. Then she could manipulate her own voice to make it sound like someone else.

Johnathan is a very classy man. He is well mannered and very disciplined. He mainly learned this in the army, but his father also pushed him in this direction. He has always been a strong boy, and since his father was in the army as well, the choice was made very easily. His life in the army also contributed to his ego, enhancing what was already there. He things very highly of himself, especially since he has a high posistion. 

John is a kind young man, he likes to help others and almost never turns down a request. He doesn't really have boundries and is prepared to do almost anything. He has a light personality and loves to chat with people. It's not that he really enjoys it though, he mainly does it to be kind. Another thing he has learned from the military. 

He's a very dominant man who loves to give orders. He hates it when somebody talks back, especially if it's somebody from a low class or low role in the military. He's not afraid to take consequences if his orders aren't followed. This makes him very intimidating, but that doesn't stop him from being flirty. He loves to flirt with every girl he sees, making her feel special. Most of the time it's only for one good night, sometimes two, but never more. He didn't even stop when he got married off. She doesn't have to know, he mostly sleeps with them in secret.

Johnathan was born as the middle child. His father died in the military when he was 15, leaving his mother to take care after them. When his brother was 18 he joined the army as well, he hasn't spoken to him in a very long time, since he has a lot of missions too. His sister moved to another city with his mother, so Emmeline could take care of her. She's happily married, unlike her brothers. Arthur's wife passed away during the birth of their child, leaving Arther completely alone. The baby was born too soon and couldn't survive outside of the womb. 

They had a pretty steady childhood, their father wasn't around much, but their mother made sure that they had everything they needed. They were middle class, so Johns current position is higher than it was.
