Backstory: Wynd had very loving parents as well as two sisters. She grew up in a small neighbourhood and didn't have much interaction with many people until one day when a new family moved unto her block. She was seven at the time and the son of the family was ten. The day she moved in she went over to their house and helped them move in and clean their new house. She and the son (Adam) became friends fast. Their relationship grew and changed over the years. They started by bonding over things like sledding and hot chocolate. Then when they went to middle school together they would run track after school. 

During this time her relationship with her older sister (Rayn) became stressed. They would fight a lot, take one another's things. However Wynd and her younger sister (Hayl) became very close. They had a tradition that every Sunday they would go to their local church and then out to get ice cream. Sometimes Adam would go with them but not often because it was mostly just Wynd and Hayl's tradition.

When she was 13 and Adam was 16 they started dating. It was surprising to her that their relationship went that way but it just felt very right. Even though they were incredibly young to be dating they were very mature for their age. Wynd's mother got sick with cancer and Wynd had to really step up because Rayn had already moved out. Adam's parents had a messy divorce. So for those reasons they were incredibly mature and knew they wanted to be together for forever. For the next three years her mother continued to battle cancer, Adam and Wynd grew stronger and stronger to the point where they were already talking about marriage. 

One day Wynd came home. She was feeling depressed with everything on the news about teens dying. Her mom had been getting worse and worse lately. She got a phone call from Adam. He told her he thought he had the flu. From that moment on things snowballed into her worst nightmares. Adam died three days later. Her mom died a day after. After that Wynd fell into a deep depression. A few weeks later she got the flu as well and was rounded up with the other teens.
