~~~~~~~~~Sage's POV~~~~~~~~~

I sat on our bay window as I watched the snow gracefully fall down. It was January, and had been snowing for the past few days. I let out a sigh, starring out. There wasn't much for me to do since Aiden was usually at work at this hour, along with Iv being at her university, and Alyse at her middle school.

My brother Noah had just recently started working as well, so it was mostly just me alone in the house for hours.

I didn't hate it, but i didn't like it either. But overtime, I've learned to love my little place at the bay window. It's peaceful watching the snow fall.

I soon heard the front door open, making me look over, seeing my boyfriend closing the door before taking off his jacket.

"Aiden?"

He looked at me with his usual warm smile. "Hey, surprised?"

"Well yeah, you're usually not here until four to five." I replied.

He walked over to the kitchen, setting his bag on the counter before taking some ingredients out of the cabinet. "We were sent home early today."

I smiled, looking back out the window. It wasn't long until the familiar scent of chocolate and peppermint reached my nose, my eyes widening at the delicious smell. Aiden soon walked over, holding two mugs of hot cocoa and a fuzzy blue blanket, sitting beside me as he places both mugs on the nearby table, wrapping the blanket around me.

He then kissed my forehead, my cheeks growing pink as he hands me one of the mugs. I took a sip, smiling at its flavor.

"I actually have some good news..!"

I looked up at him, tilting my head. A warm smile grew on his face. "Starting today, I'll be free from work until after New Years!"

I smiled at the thought, scooting over and resting my head on his shoulder. "Meaning you'll be spending the holidays at home?"

He nodded, my smile growing as he wrapped an arm around. "Then maybe we can go out tonight..? I like seeing the town when snow falls.."

He placed a kiss on my head, making me blush. "If it's what you want, then of course.."

I snuggled against his chest as he rested his head on mine, looking out the window.

"I love you, Sage... so much... and I'm sorry I've been so busy with work lately... so I want to make it up to you..."

I leaned up, gently kissing his cheek, his face growing pink. "You already have..."

He smiled, gently pulling me closer as I snuggled against his neck.

"And... I love you too, Aiden..."
