Ark is a calm and charming Mi'qote who grew up in the deserts without much help. He was taken in by sheriffs of a nearby town and taught him how to shoot a gun and how to socialize. The townspeople were scrappers, which mean they take the remains of Garlean contraptions and use them for any of their purposes. Ark helped out in scrapping the remains and in return helped him become a machinist. Once he reached 18, he wanted to become an adventurer, so he set off to the ports of Limsa Lominsa to start his adventuring.
