Background Info:

Jace Zeon was the cousin of Serena Yvonne and a Pokemon Trainer in Kalos Region. Like Ash, his Pokemon journey begins when he was 10 and acquired his first Pokemon, Charmander. On his first Gym battle, he suffered his first lost and his overconfidence attitude was the reason why. So he learned the lesson as he beat 8 Gym leaders with his 3 methods: Adapt, Improvise & Overcome. He also caught numerous Pokemon and sometimes, he trained them in some occasions.

With these, he beat the Elite 4 and the Champion. But he decide to retire as the region's new Champion and embark his own new journey to another side. He went to Kanto, Johto, Hoen, Sinoh & Unova regions. Just like the previous, he caught some new Pokemon, beat numerous trainers, fought Gym leaders & Champions with his still 3 methods that earned him a title of "Pokemon Master". He was inspired by other young Pokemon Trainers including his cousin Serena.

After that, he retired as he & his mother moved to Pallet Town to enjoy a peaceful, quiet life. He invited Serena to stay there for awhile and found out that she & a young boy next door named Ash Ketchum were already knew each other back when they were children in Pokemon Camp a few years ago. He came out from his retirement to become a traveling companion and mentor to both Ash & Serena in a lifelong Pokemon journey.
