Eve has always lived quite a chaotic childhood. Her parents were such an odd pair. Her mother has always been on a straight and narrow, meanwhile, her father was not. Her father was often involved in gang activity that later ended up with him getting arrested a few times while Evelyn was younger. But things really changed, when they finally arrested her father again for a much more serious charge, her mother ended up divorcing her father. There was a lot of back and forth, and in the meantime, Eve and her brothers lived with their grandmother out of town. Eventually when her mother gets custody, Eve & her brother return a year later.

Jack isn't that much of a mean guy or evil. Actually for someone people would consider a spoiled brat, he's actually nice and has a soft heart. The only bad thing about him is that he's quite closed-minded to what people who aren't rich go through, he's simply never thought about those of the lower class and their struggles. He never means to hurt anyone by his comments, he just needs to learn more about the real world. He has a reputation to maintain, so if that means being mean to keep it up in front of everyone then he will. He has no problem doing that. He can make stupid mistakes, he's a teenager, they all do. He doesn't like being told what to do, it makes it difficult to get what you want from him. He doesn't appreciate people trying to use him, he will get his revenge.

Meaning that Jace grew up with everything though he wasn't exactly his father's favorite, that was his older brother so his mother favored him the most. He grew up spending most of his time with her, and that turned him into a mommy's boy. Jace and his older brothers were constantly at odds, no matter what. He had given up trying to be perfect.
