Backstory:

Luz was born 14 years and Demmalena was born 15 years prior to the start of series as the only children of Camila and Manny Noceda. As seen through pictures in the Noceda residence and flashbacks, Luz and Demmalena have expressed a creative spark ever since they were little, much to the joy of their parents, with whom they were very close too. Unfortunately, when Luz and Demmalena were still young, their father developed an indeterminate ailment which facilitated the Noceda family moving to Gravesfield, Connecticut, due to its closer proximity to a more efficient hospital to treat him. Sadly, Manny later succumbed to the ailment regardless, leaving Luz and Demmalena devastated and with only their mother to be there for them afterward. In mourning, Luz and Demmalena turned to the gift their father gave them before his passing: the first book of The Good Witch Azura. The story immediately captured Luz's and Demmalena's interest, becoming a dedicated fan of the Good Witch Azura series and beginning her passion for fantasy then Demmalena first watch of Demon slayer season 1 episode 1 she was very interesting of it same as Harry Potter she read all the books and watched 8 movies then interesting Stranger things she watch season 1 2 3 and 4 she love it very much she like to sing alone also started collecting animes she likes also join gymnastic she was really good at then while also being implied to have afford their a form of escapism and coping with their Manny's death.Since their father's passing, Luz Demmalena and Camilla would pick flowers for each other on the anniversary of his death, then visit her father's grave, and at the end they would spend the whole day together.
In addition to their father's death, her sister Luz struggled to adjust to life in Gravesfield throughout her childhood, with most of the town's people resenting and ostracizing her for her antics and unusual behavior. As she grew, her sister Luz's eccentricities resulted in her being unable to make any friends (with it being implied she was occasionally made fun of by other kids) and Demmalena didn't make friends because she doesn't like them to make fun of her sister Luz and get in a fight if someone make fun of her sister while receiving disgust from adult onlookers who would regularly openly criticize their for their behavior
In school, they often got in trouble for their antics and received inconsistent grades in class also Demmalena got so many detention, presumably due to her interests outside academics. This also resulted in a slight straining of Luz's and Demmalena relationship with their mother, largely due to Camila's growing concern over Luz's and Demmalena utter lack of friendship. Hoping to reconnect with their mother, Luz and Demmalena orchestrated an elaborate presentation for their book report at school in an attempt to ease Camila's worry about them
After causing several problems at their school because of their book report, which involved live snakes and firecrackers, their mother Camila decides to send Luz and Demmalena to a Reality Check Summer Camp to straighten out their wild imaginative personality and Demmalena anger problems. While waiting disappointed for the bus to go to the camp, they chases a little owl who picks up their favorite book that she threw to the trash before, and ends up in an old rundown house, where they finds a portal and is teleported to the magical world of the Boiling Isles in the Demon Realm When they get there they meet Eda, known as the Owl Lady, as well as for constantly evading the law, who in order to escape from the guards takes them to the Owl House, where they meet Hooty and King. After escaping from the Warden Wrath by wanting to retrieve King's "crown of power", and realizing how unsatisfying their life in the camp would be, they decide to stay at the Owl House and learn magic with Eda, to which Eda agrees soon she made friends having amazing Adventure and soon she will meet her mates
