Backstory:
Molly and Darcy was born to Pete and Sharon McGee at some point in 2008. Her family had to move to various places in the United States such as Oklahoma and Zuni, New Mexico, due to her father's job. For them that has been quite hard as they have had to leave several friends behind and have not been able to establish meaningful bonds with people In 2021, Molly Darcy and her family relocate permanently in Brighton, a sleepy little town. Despite the poor appearance of her new house, Molly and Darcy love it instantly and the first thing they do is head to their room to get settled. While cleaning, they notices a ghost named Scratch, who has inhabited the house for many years. Molly and Darcy instead of being scared are excited to see a real ghost, they tries to make friends with Scratch, although he refuses and tries to chase them away, but is unsuccessful. Scratch decides to put a curse on them so that wherever they go, he will be with them to torment them. Instead of scaring them, this makes them happy because Scratch will be with them forever, and Scratch realizes that instead of cursing Molly and Darcy, he cursed himself. He goes with The Ghost Council to advise of how to undo the curse, and is told that the only way to break it was to scare Molly and Darcy severely so that they would leave the house forever. Scratch, seeing that Molly and Darcy is not scared of him, decides to scare the rest of the McGee family so that they will leave, but before he can succeed, Molly and Darcy explain to their parents that Scratch is her new friend, and although reluctant at first, their parents accept Scratch. Later that night, their grandmother Nin tells them that in Thailand many houses have ghosts, and that to make them live comfortably, they were given a Sal Phra Phum (spirit house). Molly and Darcy finds a dollhouse and gives it to Scratch, who accepts it they will soon become good friends and soon Darcy will find her own mate
