Appearance: Ann has pale skin and a light scattering of freckles on her arms. She has a round face with blue eyes, and has light blond shoulder length curly hair that is usually pulled up in a ponytail. She's short, at 5'3, and is skinny. Usually wears the standard science uniform (the shirt and pants), but occasionally wears the skant uniform (the dress) paired with knee high black boots.

Personality: Kindhearted, sassy and snarky at times, shy when meeting new people, goofy and outgoing around people shes close to, has a dark/ weird sense of humor, creative and artistic, imaginative and loves to daydream, is constantly spacing out, struggles with GAD (general anxiety disorder) on a daily basis as well as depressive episodes, and its hard for her to get sleep

Likes: animals, physical affection, food, spending time with friends and loved ones, singing, dad jokes and puns, music, plants

Dislikes: Spicy things, bad communication, fights, gore and violence, being alone, people who don't listen to her, self-concieted people

Flaws: can be selfish but she believes that everyone is selfish at points in their lives which helps her not beat herself up about it, not self confident, has attachment issues, clingy, although she's caring for everyone she tends to put the lives of the ones closest to her before everyone else without thinking about the bigger picture

Enemies: Not quite enemies, but her and Dr. Pulaski butt heads for a short while after she comes on due to Pulaski's mistreatment of Data. She eventually comes to slightly like her when Pulaski finally leaves Data alone, but isn't all that sad when she leaves because she dearly missed Beverly while she was gone. Lore, part of her feels bad for him, and the other part is spitting mad at him for what he does to Data.

Backstory: Her father was a scientist aboard a Starfleet vessel and brought Ann and her mother aboard the ship with him when Ann was at the age of 8. She spent 5 years on the ship, and the experience and capabilities were enough to aid her acceptance into Starfleet academy at age 16. She graduated at 20, and was assigned to the Enterprise as an Ensign due to her father's position aboard the ship. Her father was only on board with her for a short time before he was sent back to Starfleet headquarters for a research job not on a starship. She trained under Lieutenant Harper Diawara, a science officer, specifically working on botany and plant medicine. She earned the rank of Lieutenant Jr. Grade within a year, and is on track to become a lieutenant. Diawara was the first friend Ann made, and although being shy at first, with Guinan's encouragement she was able to approach Data. (Who she had been admiring from a far for a while) Data of course had no prejudice against her due to her lower rank, which Ann was worried about at first, and she was quickly accepted into Data's bridge crew friend group. Ann is close friends with Data, and is practically joined to him at the hip. She treats him with respect and kindness, patiently taking the time to answer his many questions to the best of her ability and helps him in his constant endeavors to become more human. Of course because of her close friendship with Data, she automatically becomes close friends with Geordie, who greatly appreciates her kindness towards Data.

Other: I didn't quite want to put this in the friends part, but Beverly Crusher is like a second mom to her, and she goes to her for advice often or to just spend time with her. Beverly treats her like a second daughter, and in turn, Ann treats Wesley like the brother she never had and is always looking out for him (and giving him noogies.)
