Yours from the LORD

September 6

1 Kings 2:15 And he said, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign: howbeit the kingdom is turned about, and is become my brother's: for it was his from the LORD.

'...for it was his from the LORD.'
That statement changed everything. What is yours in the LORD will always be yours. No one can take it from you... no status, no right, no age, no qualification/requirements, no nothing will ever hinder you of what God has planned for you.... true enough when God sets an open door for His chosen no one can shut it.
It was his. Your promotion in life is something God has prepared for you... and it is yours.
Revelation 3:8 “I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.'
That promotion you desire... is an open door BUT... here's the catch you have obeyed the Word of God even in your little strength and have not denied God in your life and so God opened the door and so when we are disobedient to God and deny Him we are closing the door of blessings in our lives.
There's a DOOR. Jesus said in John, 'I AM THE DOOR'. God's grace is always present and available but our dedication, devotion to God opens it in our lives.
You have your portion in the LORD and it is your from Him... your share is yours and yours alone.
No one can take it away from you not unless you let them take it from you. Adonijah himself knew his right as the eldest son and being favored by people yet to have the throne is not about having rights in the legal sense or having the favor of people... we only live for one- We live for God. Solomon may not have what Adonijah had but the he had the most important, He has God on His side. Solomon had all he ever wanted for he had the LORD his God.

God is enough. That might be the statement of Solomon's life... we only heard him speak after his appointment as king. He waited on God and God moved for His glory in his favor for everyone to see. After all it was his from the LORD and so it truly became his. If it is from God no one can argue with God... He is one who does what He please.

Have faith... what's yours will be yours if and only if it is from the LORD.

To God be the glory!
