2 John 1:4-11
I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father.And now I ask you, dear lady—not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it. For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.

What I've learn from the passage...
As a Christian God has taught us how to live... having a transformed life in Him for His glory!
God is looking for PROGRESS. This gives God joy... seeing His children having progress.

1. TO WALK (living)
Walk God's commandment.
PREREQUISITE
In order to live God's Word:
1. Know God's COMMAND
2. Embrace God's TEACHING
Walking is living... a habitual action grounded in your character. And your character is molded by God's Word over your life... once taken to heart the hands will then follow.

2. TO WATCH (focus)
Watch yourself.
In order to really look after yourself you must:
Embrace the GOAL.
As Christians we are to be like Christ. That's the goal we are to accept wholeheartedly. Loving a goal will make life easier and clean... it sets your priority right. You know which things leads to your goal and so it leaves no wasted time. You know your goals and you want it so you do it as soon as possible.
Know your FOCUS.
As you embrace your goal... that will be your focus, 'so that you may not lose what we have worked for'... focused life is a product of a firm heart. You know what are the essentials and the not so important things... it keeps you from distraction. This leads you always to the goal.

Then you will understand you step in this life with those two guidelines... you'll know where you are at. Progress or decline! Examine yourself by how you embrace your goal and about your focus in this life.

3. TO WIN
Win the reward. Make sure what you worked for is beneficial for you.
We don't win on our own... life is a battle. So, in this life there will be losers and winners. We get to win only by being on the winning side. Darkness or Light?!
God is a victorious God. He wins! He always wins!
Your walk and careful watch in this life will determine if whether you are in the winning side or not.
A life lived according to God's Word will win in the end.

To win is a choice.
AW Tozer said, faith is dare to fail... we can wait for the announcement of winners... the recognition can wait... knowing victory is on our side.
