1 Kings 1:29-30 And the king sware, and said, As the LORD liveth, that hath redeemed my soul out of all distress, even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day.

A vow is a vow!

Its value as it is... a promise is equal to its fulfillment.
Promise is considered as done even before you do it!
As David promised to Batsheba to appoint Solomon his son to be the king was as important as the day he actually did let Solomon reign in his stead...
The value of the words spoken is in the fulfilment thereof.
The beauty of the word spoken was fully seen on the day of that it was accomplished
David was faithful not just to his words to to his God... for the LORD was his witness and so fulfilling his word was given.

Everyone who is redeemed by God has to be faithful. God being our witness in every word we speak.
May you see your promise in the light of its fulfillment, its not just words, its work in progress... and it will be done in God's appointed time.
