Lucy's POV
I entered my dorm and sigh, setting down my bags
"Why is life so shitty?"
"I ask myself the same question."
I turn around and see a pink haired guy, leaning against the wall
"AAAHHH!!!!!"
I trip into the floor panting
"What are you doing here?!"
"Uh, well this is my room too."
He grinned at me as he stuck out a hand.
"Thanks."
I mumbled as I took it.
"So, what's your name?"
"Lucy."
"Lucy....."
"I'd prefer not to tell you my last name right now..."
"Okay well I'm Dragneel, Natsu Dragneel."
"Nice to meet you Natsu, by the way, what's up with the pink hair?"
"How about,"
He said looking over at the clock
"I tell you over dinner?"
"Dinner?"
"Dinner."
"Oh my god I love you already."
He smiled, letting out a whole hearted laugh
"Cmon, let's go "
He grabs my hand and runs with me out side the campus like little kids
"Hurry up Luce!"
"Luce?"
"It's your nick name!"

I smile looking up at him with a blush on my cheeks.
"Yeah.. I really do...."
We continued to run past small shops and other restaurants until we reached a small pizza shop.
"Pizza! YUS!!!!"
I hug him by the side and get in line.
I turn around and see him just standing there, shocked.
"Hey, you comin?"
He snaps out of his trance and stands in line next to me.
We come to the front of the line and I gasp when I see who it is.
"Sting?!"
"Oh, hey sweet heart!"
"I am not your sweet heart you jackass
"Yeah but you still are my girlfriend."

"Can I talk to you for a minute?"
"I'll be right back Natsu."
He grabs me by my waist and whispers in my ear, "be careful."
I turn to see a pair of beautiful onyx eyes.

He lets me go but I miss his warmth...
I walk over to the back of the pizza shop
"What the hell are you doing?! Especially with him!"
"You're not in charge of my life you dick wad!"
He slaps me hard.

"Bitch, I saved you from your dad by getting you into this college but I wont stop myself from threatening to tell him where you are."
Tears started pooling in the corners of my eyes

I turn around and run towards Natsu who's sitting on a near by bench with the pizza, waiting

He smiles when he sees me but then it drops,
"Did he, slap you?"

"He fucking slapped you. Do you think I'm gonna let that slide?"

"Cmon, we'll eat this back at the dorm and

As we walk he keeps me close to him.
The first day and I already like him
"Hey Lucy."
"Hm?..."
"Do you like me?"
"Yeah.."
"I like you too..."
"WAIT!"
He looks at me, looking super innocent, like a little puppy.
"You mean in like a-"
"Friend relationship yeah."
"Okay then. From this day forward, Natsu Dragneel is my best friend."
"From this day forward Lucy something is my best friend."
He smiles at me, making my heart dance.
His arm goes around my waist and we walk, talking about what we thought college would be like.
