You know, my last short story is a little sadder than I meant for it to be when I think about it. Alex wanted to throw away the image of the helpless little girl so she cut her hair, but to throw away the image of that sweet girl she used to be, she had to throw away her childhood. Granted with her horrible childhood it was more moving on.

But than there's Misty. Alex got so lonely and so desperate that she conjured a friend out of magic. A friend she can't talk to. A friend that was her shadow. That's how desperate she got for a friend that couldn't leave.
