Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
Joan rose an eyebrow and got up. Who could possibly be knocking at this late of an hour? She strolled over to the door, opening it. A small frown appeared on her lips as she saw no one. Just as she was about to close the door, she heard a soft whine and looked down. There lay a basket, and in the basket, a black haired baby, a note next to the baby. Joan picked up the basket, closing the door.
The baby's eyes fluttered open, reveling them to be a dark purple. Joan blinked a little, purple was a rare eye color, and it did make the tiny child look even more adorable.
Joan carefully set the basket down, baby and all. She picked up the note and read it.
'Please take care of New Orleans for me.'
New Orleans? Must be a personification like Francis. Which means she needs a human name. Joan thought.
Joan grinned a little, picking up the baby girl again. Just than, a name came to mind.
"Alexandra," she spoke, "Alex for short. You like that name, little one?"
Alex's only reply was staring up into Joan's blue eyes with her purple ones. Joan chuckled a little at the girls adorableness, taking it as a yes.
Joan could get used to having a baby around, especially one this adorable.
