"H-hello" jack said a little scared 

"You don't have to be scared I won't hurt you, my name is mark" Jack calmed down a little bit and slightly smiled at mark. "M-my name i-is Jack" Mark gave Jack a sweet smile.

"So Jack why are you out here siting in the garbage on a cold night like this, don't you have a family?"

That was the first time Jack ever really heard the word family but he knew what it meant. Jack just looked at Mark and began to cry tears. Mark saw the tears and hugged Jack. Jack hugged back. To him, Marks hugs were amazing. they were warm, cuddly, and so soothing. After they hugged, mark wiped Jack's tears away and smiled at him. Jack smiled back.

Then something caught Mark's eye. Mark saw some scares and bruises on Jack's left arm that Jeffery gave him. When mark saw the markings, he got worried about Jack

"Jack what happened to you?"

Jack took in a beep breathe and finally said

"Over the last twenty years, I was raised by a guy. He used to hit me, scratch me, cut me, hurt me, and touch me. But I ran away from him a couple days ago and now I live here, in the trash cans with a newspaper blanket, nothing to eat or drink, and....No family to live with..."

Mark started to cry because of Jack's story. Mark wiped his eyes quickly and he looked at Jack and finally got the courage to ask him...

"Jack, d-do you wanna live with me?"
