(Lucy's POV)

We got a few weird looks on the way home, but Gray kept awkwardly smiling and telling people they were dressing up. At least they remembered to keep their clothes on.

"Ahh, we're finally home." Natsu sighed, falling onto the sofa. He squished the food. (-_-) Gray's clothes were off in an instant and he curled up on the carpet.
"NATSU! Get off the food. GRAY! Put some clothes on!"
"Yeah Gray." Natsu teased. "Stop showing off!"
"You know I can't help it dog breath!" He replied.

Wait.

"Can I talk to you both?" I asked curiosly.
"Sure Lushee~ ." Natsu smiled, Gray didn't look too pleased.

The three of us sat on my bed cross-legged.
"I accepted you two into my home as Neko-People, but you two are a mystery to me." I sighed. "If I am to be your master, I need to know a little more about you." I saw Gray look very uncomfortable. Natsu on the other hand, looked completely clueless.
He doesn't even act like a cat.
"So, how did you two end up in a box outside my house?"
"I thought you'd ask this sooner or later." Gray sighed.

"We're defects. Mistakes. Undesirables." He looked down.
"Why?" I asked. "You don't look like defects to me, quite the opposite actually."
"You saying I look sexy Luce?" Natsu asked seductively.
"No, you took it the wrong way." I stated, pushing him away. "Baka."

Okay, I was internally freaking, but I have to stay cool.

"As you can see," Gray began. "Natsu doesn't act like a cat, but like a dog. A dog that looks like a cat is not needed."
"And you?" I pursued.
"You've seen my... stripping problem." He looked really embarrassed.
"All too well." I sassed.
"Well, apparently it scares people, so I too am not needed."
"Not wrong there...." I mumbled.

"Our late master Erza gave us back saying we were faulty, so they dumped us on the road, which happened to be by the post office near here. Somehow it got delivered here."
"Did the box say Heartfilia on it?" I asked.
"Yeah, why?" He asked.
"Jude Heartfilia is the guy who made you." I said.
"Then why are we here?" Natsu asked me, still confused. Gray had it though. His eyes were wide with shock. I don't blame him though.

"He's my dad." I looked at Natsu, who blankly looked back at me.
"And that means....?" I saw Gray face plant.
"OOOH!" He yelled, finally getting it.
"Lookie here," Gray teased. "We've got a clever one here Luce."
"Shut up!" Natsu huffed.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. I walked over and opened the door, to reveal two big men wearing black suits.
"Are you Lucy Heartfilia?" One man asks.
"Yes..?" I replied. They then grabbed me by the arms and started pulling me away.
"LUCY!" The boys yelled, running after me, but it was too late.

The other man blew a whistle which made no sound, but Natsu and Gray were on their knees with their hands over their ears. That sound must be piercing for them.

Then everything went black.
