Chapter 20

"So that could be more evidence to prove our suspicions." Levy mumbled. "You know Lu-chan, if we can get solid proof that he actually did this to the Neko-People, we wouldn't have to kill him to get rid of him."
"What do you mean?" I asked.

"We could close down Heartfilia's Creations for good."

(A/N): Ey up kids. It's 2019 and we've finally decided to finish this book. And the worst author in the world award goes toooo..... ME!

I actually wrote part of this chapter a long time ago, I saw it and thought, hey, let's finish that.

I wonder if I'll actually follow through with it though... we'll have to wait and see.

ANYWAYS, ENJOY~

(Lucy's POV)

"So, do we have a plan yet?" I asked Erza, who was staring solely at the map of "Heartfilia's Creations".
"Yeah." She replied. "But we've got to prepare first."
"Prepare? How?" I questioned.

"We need to gather weapons and tools to help us sneak in without being noticed." She began. "The guards are specially trained, so Juvia needs to teach us about their weak spots."

"And we need to kill Jude."

"Uhh, Erza?" Levy walked into the study where me and Erza were.
"What's up?" She asked.
"If Jude dies, the company will still continue, except someone else will take over." She explained.
"But wouldn't that be Lucy?" Erza questioned.
"No, it'll go to the Vice President of the company." Levy replied, eyes downcast.

"So what do you propose we do?" Erza asked her.
"We need to gather evidence to send Jude to prison for his crimes, and shut down Heartfilia's Creations for good." Levy announced.
"What evidence would we need?"
"Well, we have Natsu, Gray, and Happy, who were subjected to his experiments." I told her.
"And Juvia worked there." Levy added.

"But that's not enough. We'd have to get photographic evidence or CCTV as proof." Erza contradicted.
"I could hack into the CCTV if I had the right equipment." Levy told us. "And some time...."
"That's good." Erza smiled. "But if the CCTV cameras suddenly stopped working they'd know something was wrong."

"Do you think we could set off the fire alarms?" I asked. "Then everyone would leave the building and we could hack into the CCTV."
"We could only set off the fire alarm from the inside... How can we get in without being noticed?" Erza said.
"Maybe we don't have to go unnoticed..." Levy mumbled.
"Huh?"

"Like Natsu said, maybe we could just storm in and wreck the place."

(Still Lucy's POV)

"Punch! Kick! Punch! Dodge! Kick!" Erza yelled. I was practicing my fighting on a dummy that Mystogan made for Erza, and - not to boast or anything - I think I've become a lot better.
"Hey Luce!" I stopped and saw Natsu waving at me.
"DON'T STOP!" Erza yelled. "If you did that in the real thing you'd be dead by now!"
"Whoops." I laughed, brushing it off.

"How about you practice with me?" Natsu smirked, glancing at his scarf that I was still wearing.
"Me? Really?" I stuttered. "I'm not actually any good at it yet.."
"Doesn't matter." He replied. "I'll help you get better." I looked over to Erza, who just shrugged and left, which I guess means I could practice with him.
"Alright then Natsu, teach me what you know." I smiled at him.
"Okay then Luce," he flashed a toothy grin. "Hit me."

So I threw a punch.

Which he caught with his hand.

"Nice try." He laughed. "Try again." I threw punch after punch, and even tried kicking, but he kept deflecting them all.

"You're too easy to read!" He laughed, as I stopped for a moment to catch my breath. "I feel like attacking head on isn't really your thing."
"That's a bit rude." I huffed. "I did say I haven't been practicing long."

"I want you to try something." He began. "Throw a punch at me." I did, so he caught it again, and held my fist tight in his hand. "If you get stuck in a situation like this, I want you to do this." He then told me to move towards him, my back facing him, and then told me to use my legs to flip him over my back.

"Obviously if the person is too heavy it won't work." He told me. "But you've got strong legs, so give it a go."

And with that ladies and gents, we managed to flip Natsu over onto the floor.
"Aha! I did it!" I cried out, jumping for joy as Natsu laughed whilst lying down.

"Try it again!" He told me. So I hit him again, but instead of just catching it and waiting for me to move, he dodged the attack and moved behind me, grabbing my wrists and holding them in front of me, kind of like he was hugging me from behind.

"This is what would normally happen." He whispered into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. I felt his warm breath linger on my skin, and my heartbeat got faster. "Can you remember what to do? Lu- AAHH!" Catching him off guard, I flipped him over then and there.
"That was amazing!" He yelled. "Catch them right when they think they've got you!"

He proceeded to teach me about self defence, weak points on a human - and a neko person - and surprise attacks. Turns out, jelly-legging someone from behind and then proceeding to hit them on the head with something is a great way to temporarily knock them out.

We'd been practicing all day, and we both enjoyed every moment of it. After a while, we'd noticed that everyone had gone inside, so I decided to sit down on the grass, and Natsu followed suit, placing himself next to me.

"Wow," I smiled. "I never knew fighting was so fun."
"It is fun, isn't it?" He laughed. "It was my favourite part of training."
"Training?" I turned to face him.
"Yeah. Training to become a neko person." He told me. "We did loads of stuff, but stupid me forgot lots of it."

"What did they teach you?" I asked, looking at him with slight worry. Natsu stayed in deep thought for a moment, before replying.
"How to cook, clean, fight, that kind of stuff." He sighed. "I liked fighting so I always remembered that stuff, but I was never any good at doing chores, so I'd always get punished."

"Punished?" I exclaimed.
"You know, no food or whatever." He told me. "I always got sad because I love food. They'd lock me away and I'd always get so bored."
"That's awful!" I told him, reaching over to hug him. "I'm so sorry."
"No need to be sad." He smiled. "You always give me lots of food, which makes me really happy."

At this I chuckled a little, rubbing the spot on his head just behind his ear. This caused him to bury his face in his scarf that I was wearing, and he squirmed a little.
"Mmmm... you're too good to me Luce~" he purred, pulling me closer to him. "I don't deserve it."
"Don't be stupid." I giggle. "You deserve the world."

Upon saying this, he moved his head to face me, staring straight into my eyes with a slight confused look. From what I know, he's probably never heard anyone say that to him before. He's always been told to do anything and everything for his master, and that he's worthless. Which is not true at all. I meant every word I said.

"W-What did you say?" He asked, completely caught off guard. I stared straight into his eyes, cupped his face in my hands and moved my face closer to his.

"I said that you deserve the world, Natsu. You are the most amazing person I've ever met and I don't know what I'd ever do if you weren't with me." I felt my heart leap inside me, and I waited for him to say something.

He didn't say anything. He just stared into my eyes, but I imagine that his view got blurry, since tears began to well in his eyes. One spilled over onto his cheek, and I wiped it away with my thumb. Seeing him like his made me want to cry too; just thinking that he's so overwhelmed because no one has ever said that to him before made me feel so sad.

"I'm s-orry." He stuttered. "It just caught me off guard. I don't really know what to- oh gosh wait no don't cry please!" Natsu started crying even more once he noticed a tear slip from my eye. "I'm sorry, don't be sad please."

"It's not your fault," I told him laughing through my tears. "Stop thinking that you're worthless, because you mean the world to me."
"I love you so much." He cried, resting his forehead on mine. "So much."
"I love you too." I replied, "more than you could ever imagine."
