"Why don't we train you?" Natsu blurted out.
"That's a good idea actually." Erza sighed.

"The only clever thing he's ever said.." Gray muttered under his breath, only to receive a glare off Natsu.

"It's settled then." Erza smiled, standing up after finishing her food. "We'll take turns in training Lucy. I'll go first; Lucy, we start tomorrow."

And then she left.

(A/N): Damn it's been a while. I'm sorry for not updating in like three years, but now that I've finished my NaLu book 'The Dragon's Contract' I should be able to update this book more often, along with my other unfinished NaLu 'Life in a Tribe'.

And yes I know I finished that book like a week ago or whatever, but I don't really like writing if I feel obliged to do so. I see writing as a fun hobby I enjoy in my spare time, and I don't want to feel forced to write something, especially if I'm not feeling creative. (Because then the chapter is really bad)

Anyway, sorry for the rant. This wasn't directed at anyone, I just felt like I needed to get it off my chest since I don't update much on this book.

(Lucy's POV)

I ambled outside of the small house we were staying in, only to see Erza stood by a tree waiting for me. It was the next day, the sun was shining brightly and the flowers were in bloom, but I was worried. Erza agreed to train me today.

"Morning Lucy!" Erza smiled. "Ready for some training!?"
"Y-yeahhh..." I tried to sound enthusiastic, but it didn't go too well.
"That's great." She replied. "I've laid out a track for us to run around for warm ups."

"Running doesn't sound too bad.." I muttered to myself.
"Right then. A 5km track.. 10 laps should do it!"
"W-what!?" I yelled. "I can't run that far!"
"That's what the training's for Lucy, training!" She yelled, pulling me along.

Oh god.

(Natsu's POV)

I'm so bored! I wish I was doing something, Lucy gets to run with Erza, and Juvia and Gray are always together. Im just so lonely!

I walked outside and began to wander, until I got lost....
"Ahh! Where am I?" I spoke to myself, not expecting an answer.
"You're in a forest." Answered a mysterious voice. I looked around, not seeing anyone around.
"Who said that!?" I yelled.
"I'm down here!" I froze, slowly looking down to see..

"A BLUE CAT!" I exclaimed.

"Nice to meet you!" He smiled. "My name's Happy!"
"Oh, hi Happy! I'm Natsu." I replied, showing my toothy grin. This cat was very small and carried a green backpack. How strange!

"Wait, are you a Neko-Person?" I asked, and he shook his head. "How can you speak then?"
"I am an Exceed." Happy replied. "I exceed the expectations of a normal cat, I was made by this guy called Jude."
"SAME!" I replied, and we high fived.

"Did you run away?" I asked, and once again, Happy shook his head.
"We were kicked out when the 'Neko-People' were created. We were told that we were useless now that we'd been replaced by something better."
"O-oh.." I stuttered.

"Want to come and live with me?" I asked out of the blue.
(A/N): Pun not intended. XD
"Can I!?" Happy yelled, and I replied with a nod and a toothy grin.

"Aye!" He smiled. "Want to catch some fish with me?"
"Fish!?" I yelled. "How do you catch fish!?"
"It's easy!" Happy smiled. "Follow me!"

(Lucy's POV)

I gave up about halfway through. Erza said she understood since it was 'training' and not a test, so I went inside and sat on the couch. I switched on the TV, but when I did, the news came up.

"We are issuing a missing persons report on a young woman named Lucy Heartfilia. She has long, blonde hair and brown eyes, and was last seen being pushed into a black car with the number plate (---- ---)."

"The kidnappers have been identified as two Neko-People from 'Heartfilia's Creations' and a lady who used to work as a bodyguard for the company. Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster and Juvia Lockser were the three people seen kidnapping Miss Heartfilia."

I stared in shock as Natsu, Gray and Juvia's pictures appeared on the screen.

"There is also suspicion that a woman named Erza Scarlet has something to do with the kidnapping, as she was also seen with Lucy Heartfilia."

Then Erza's face appeared on the screen, next to the other three.

"Breaking news! We have recently interviewed Mr. Heartfilia on his thoughts, and this his how he replied:"

My father then showed up on the screen, looking as normal as ever.

"The two Neko-People that kidnapped my daughter were classified as 'faulty' which means there was something wrong with them, and it would make sense since a normal Neko-Person would never commit a crime." My father spoke as if his daughter wasn't kidnapped at all. Like all he cares about is his company, not his kin.

"There is a reward for whoever finds the two Neko-Boys and my daughter. I will give you the reward personally, when you show me you have them."

I switched off the TV, astounded at my father. I mean, I knew he never really payed much attention to me, and I guess I did stab him.... But you'd think that he'd still care for his daughter, just a little bit.

Just then the doorbell rang. It must be Natsu, since I saw him walk outside before. I walked over and opened the door, but saw something very unexpected.

"Hello Lucy." A figure clothed in black spoke. Then everything went black.
