A/N: Heres chapter 2 Again sorry its so short. Let me know what you think in the comments! <3
Killian's POV
The smell of coffee brewing woke me up. I opened my eyes and looked at the clock. It was 7:30. I sat up and threw the covers off myself and got out of bed staggering into the kitchen to see the woman I brought home sauntering around my kitchen making breakfast.
"Whats this?" I asked less than amused.
"Its called breakfast, silly" she smiled and offered me a plate of over cooked eggs. I took the plate and set it on the counter beside me.
"I mean why are you still here Becca?" I asked more specifically.
Becca put her hands on her hips and huffed at me.
"Really? I thought after last nig-"
"You thought wrong sweetheart." I said cutting her off. "I don't do the cutesy domestic bullshit."
Becca glared at me and walked to the living room picking up her coat, and slipping on her shoes. I followed her to the door as she opened it.
"You are such an asshole Killian!" She screamed at me. "Don't call me again." She added before storming off.
"Didn't plan on it love!" I called after her and turned to see my new neighbor, standing in her doorway staring at me.
"What do you want?" I spat.
"Peace and quiet at 7:30 in the morning." She spat back and blew a strand of her fire red hair out of her freckled face.
"So I see you treat all women like hot trash, and you weren't specifically targeting me yesterday. Killian" she commented.
"Mind your own business.." I trailed off reading the name plate next to her door. "A. Baker"
"Its Andie.." she said flatly.
"I don't care." I rolled my eyes and walked back into my apartment shutting the door.
----------------------------------------------------------
It was a few hours later when I went to check my mailbox. I opened my apartment door, and a blur of gray ran past me into my apartment.
"Balthazar no!"
I looked up and saw Andie making a dead run for my door so I stood in her way.
"What are you doing?"
"Trying to get my cat!" She said trying to push her way past me.
"I don't know how you do things wherever you are from, but here it's illegal to just run into someone's apartment." I sneered, it was however only kind of cute how she miserably failed to push past me, she was a small, redheaded little spitfire.
"One, I'm from Seattle, Two. Just let me in to get my cat!" Andie grumbled.
I sighed heavily and stepped aside letting her inside following her in.
"You do know if Gold finds out you have a cat he'll kick you out." I said.
"He didn't mention anything about a no pets policy besides, Balthazar is special." Andie said and scooped up the chubby ball of fluff into her arms.
"Special how?" I asked and raised my eyebrow.
"You don't care." Andie huffed and walked past me out of my apartment holding onto the cat for dear life. What was so special about a damn cat? Andie opened her door and set the cat down inside before closing it.
"You aren't even going to apologize for your cat just running into my home like he owned it?" I asked.
"Do you know nothing about Cats? They own everything." Andie smirked and walked ahead of me down the hallway. I narrowed my eyes and followed her as she walked to the mailboxes.
"You just moved in. Why would you get mail?" I asked.
"Are you going to question everything I do?" Andie asked. "Because, it sounds to me like maybe you do care."
"Please I could care less what you do, I just want to make sure i'm not living next to a psychopath."
"Do you honestly think I would tell you I was a psychopath?" She asked and put her key in the mailbox pulling out an envelope, it was thick and the only thing it said on it was
Andrea Baker, 3A
"I thought your name was Andie?"
"Short for Andrea." Andie rolled her eyes and stood there staring at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Well, you're so inclined to get into my personal business, maybe i'd like to be in yours." Andie shrugged.
"You saw enough of my personal business when i let you into my apartment." I glared.
"Indeed, I did. Might I suggest you hire a maid?" She smiled and walked back up the hallway.
Who did she think she was? I snorted and followed her up the hallway.
"You have a lot to say about my apartment, maybe I should see yours?"
"No. I don't think so." Andie shrugged.
"Why not?"
"Because I am not into letting strange men into my home." Andie said and turned around. "What is your problem?"
"You, currently." I shrugged.
She glared at me for a few seconds and opened her apartment door to go inside. As soon as she stepped inside she went to close the door but I put my foot in the way.
"What are you doing Jones??" She demanded.
I fished my mail key out of my pocket and threw it behind her into her apartment.
"I need to get my key." I smirked.
"That is totally different! I didn't throw my cat into your apartment and I had to get him because he wouldn't have come to you!" Andie snapped and tried to push her cat away from the door to avoid him getting out.
She groaned and scooped up the cat and opened the door for me to come in.
"Make it fast." She said. "Balthazar doesn't like men.."
"Then why did he run into my apartment earlier?" I asked and stepped in and looked around, these apartments came fully furnished and this particular apartment I had been in multiple times but it looked absolutely the same. There was a couple of boxes on the floor in the kitchen and that was it.
"Its a new place, He...just likes to check things out..." Andie said and I could tell me scoping out the apartment made her uncomfortable. She placed the envelope she'd gotten from her mailbox on the table and it opened slightly revealing a huge chunk of cash, which I found..suspicious, naturally who wouldn't. The cat in her arms snuggled into her neck purring.
"Can you please leave now?" Andie asked I picked up my key from the floor and went to leave but noticed something hanging on the refrigerator. I walked over to the fridge and pulled the painting off of it.
"Where did you get this?" I snapped.
"It..was on the floor, it looked nice so I hung it up to keep it from getting damaged." She shrugged. "If you want it.. You can take it." .
I looked at the painting in my hands as a wave of painful memories washed over me. I shook my head and set it on the table.
"Don't need it. Its rubbish."
"Its beautiful, actually." Andie scoffed and hung it back on the fridge.
I rolled my eyes.
"Have fun with your stupid cat." I said and started walking out.
She hugged the cat to her protectively as she followed me to her door.
"Have a good time with your hand tonight, asshat." She snarked and shut the door as I walked out it I whipped around and glared at the door Certain of one thing,
My neighbor A. Baker in apartment 3A was a royal pain in the arse.
