Rakshit's POV

" Quoi??? Elle a fait quoi????"

"Petit déjeuner Rakshit!" She verbalized narrowing her sight.

"So she knows how to cook food. Good. Very good." I breathed to myself but Anna Tante clutched me via my arm and scowling at me, she proceeded,

" What do you mean by, ' she knows how to make breakfast?' "

" Tante, eh..a...I m..um, actually she doesn't apprehend French. I mean she can't converse in French."

" What?!"

" Hmm..ya...Yes."

" Oh. Um, Ok. Go, take a seat, I'll serve as soon as Drishti makes an appearance. Ok?"

" Drishti? Where has she gone?"

" She went to some of her friends I suppose. I don't know where. She told me she'll be back soon."

Friend? She has friends? But... 

" What happened Rakshit?"

" Nothing Tante, I am at the table."

And as I was withdrawing from the kitchen, something came betwixt my legs, and I was about to embrace the Earth but Shikhar upheld me. 

As I stood vertical and studied what it was, I conjectured that it was a vessel. A huge vessel.

" What is in it Tante?" I questioned aiming it, at Anna Tante who was busy making tea.

" Oh! There are baguette and pain u chocolate." 

But in such a big vessel? I approached it and uncovered it. And the actual hell! It was absolutely empty! 

A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y   E-M-P-T-Y !!!

Enough of your drama!

" Tante! It's vacant!"

" Oh. Then Drishti might have taken it with her."  She stated nonchalantly.

Is her friend's clique so big?

" What about the breakfast then?"

" Relax! See this. She prepared it for you too. Don't worry." She stated giggling, denoting at a basket well-supplied of them. I gave her an annoyed expression while she sustained laughing at me. 

I whirled around to discover Shikhar inclining on the pillar, smirking at me. I turned and again frowned at Anna Tante and walked out from there.

Something is wrong! I necessitate monitoring. A part of me assumes she can't have such a huge friend's clique. Why? I don't understand. And she agreed to meet now. Such early in the morning?

Even my friends don't meet me at this time, let her's be an exception then!

Ya, They meet you at even two in the morning, right?

N...Noo, whatever!

I guess I know where she would be. I was about to depart from the mansion, but a voice arrested me. Damn it!

" Where are you going Rakshit? And Drishti? Where's she?"

Arghhh, mom! I don't know! I am going to find her only! Let me go! I turned around and confronted her.

" M..mom, D..eh.Drishti, she's in o..our r..room,g.e..getting ready and I..I, Yes, I am moving out to examine if all the preparations are done, so that we can take leave. If the chariot's ready or not." I glanced at Anna Tante and Shikhar behind mom who had their eyes stretched as anything. 

Anna tante slowly nodded negatively indicating that I should have not lied. 

Wasn't that her responsibility to inform me that earlier?

" Okay. Um, and.... yes, don't.... you assume you are too desperate, to go."

" Eh...Hmm, y..ya..yes." Abruptly in the entire world, my shoes happened to be the most precious thing for me.

" Fine, go and check, and also bring your Drishti for the breakfast."

Nodding at her, I escorted myself out of that huge mansion. I know where is Drishti. I am pretty sure that she is there only. And I sauntered towards that area.

The streets were soundless. There were no chariots rushing and originating sonance. It was perfectly dark. The lights on the paths glittered carelessly. The climate was warm as it was the month of June. I wish it sprinkles soon.

As I doubled my velocity, I touched the place where I had spotted her for the very first time.

As I examined that area, there she was, employed providing the food items to an aged woman. Now I apprehended the link. Cooking the breakfast in generous quantity-that empty vessel-Drishti going missing, all these are related. 

Her act drew a smile on my face. 

Am I lucky?

Yes! Unquestionably, I am lucky to have her in my life cause I encountered someone who has similar thoughts to mine towards society.

And the thing is, sometimes getting things which thou don't want, is an incredible blow of luck.

I was smiling like a lunatic until I realized that I have to take Drishti home and... wait.. wait.. wait, how am I going to take her? I can't take her by the chief entrance.

Now the future depends on god. I peered up at the sky and petitioned the god to support me. As I stared at Drishti, she was busy smiling fondly, adoring the old woman.

I pounded towards her and placing my hand against her mouth so that she won't yell, I pulled her simultaneously with me. 

I trust no one notices us here.

As we arrived behind a shop, I loosened my hand from her mouth, and then finally she looked at me with her widened eyes saturated with tears. 

She wastes a lot of water.

Can you just please shut up?

"Que faisais-tu ici? "

But she seemed entirely meaningless. Is she fine? Or she has some mysterious disorder?

I don't know about her, but I am very sure you surely have one. Speak in English you donkey, she does not know french for god's sake.

Eh... Wha...

"What were you doing here?"

If you know what was she doing hither, then why are you uselessly panicking her and summoning her questions?

I..I..am j..just... Whatever!

" I..eh..ac...I w.was..I... here.."

She and her stammerings.

All because of you. You terrorized her. 

Whatever.

" Leave it. Let's go home. Mom is waiting, we have to leave soon." And she nodded imperceptibly watching the ground. As we were about to withdraw from there, she glanced at me, and now I scrutinized her face. 

Her cheek was sheltering itself behind a thin covering of soil. I gently elevated my hand and made it continue to go forward until it was about to touch her cheek. 

She was simply submerged in the ocean of confusion. As I was graduating my hand, my heart disremembered its usual rate and started pounding as if someone was about to take its life. I softly cleaned her cheek and then smiled at her as I concluded doing it. 

I took a deep breath to calm down the stupid heart of mine.

"Let's go now." And she just nodded blankly at me.

One thing I don't get is, why does she talk so limited. I've heard that girls are just chatter-boxes and are always busy gossiping, but she...she's an exception. No offense!

After accompanying down to our mansion and battling inside my brain that how should I take Drishti indoors, I ended up on the conclusion that I should take her from the back gate, and then let whatever befall which is inscribed in our fate.

Because I can't make her scale the window, I though can do it, but she won't be able to, as I actualized that she was shrinking in that 'heavy gown.' All thanks to that.

Taking a deep breath, my strategy was to unlock the door immediately and rush towards our room. That's it. As I held her hand, she threw a questioning flash at me. I leaned towards her ear and rustled in her ears,

Please! In English!

Ya! Thanks for mentioning it!

"We have to run. Understood?"

She glimpsed at her gown once and then fisting her gown in her hands, she nodded slightly looking at me. I don't know how is she going to run with that. God, please bless her with some superpower for a few ticks.

Glancing at her once, I slowly unfastened the door and checked if the hallway was completely empty. Reassuring myself about it, I grabbed her hand tightly and we ran inside swiftly until her legs overtook something and she tumbled down when we detected some footsteps as we were halfway down to our room.

We. Are. Dead!
