"Dropped at the cafe as promised" Jackson smiled. "Thank you for making a four hour trip seem shorter"

"Well thank you for offering- well more like demanding- to drive me here, but your heart was in the right place" you chuckled and he gave a light punch to your arm.

"You're an idiot" he joked.

"But in all seriousness, I really mean it when I say thank you for everything you've done" you say with a boice full of gratitude. "Between the speech, then inviting me for breakfast and then this whole day you've been so generous. So thank you from the bottom of my heart"

"You're making me emotional" he chuckled. "But you're very welcome bud" he winked and you rolled your eyes with a smile before opening he car door and hopping out to get your bag.

You packed light - one bag of essentials -whereas your roommate Sowon brought home four.

You closed the door and waved gently to Jackson before making your way past the cafe.

You weren't in the mood to go in and see the festivities in there. You simply glanced to see if a certain Mrs. Lee was at her usual table, but alas, she wasn't there.

You then kept your head down and walked the same path you took home many months ago before you had to change it to a different root as you had a new destination to go to.

An old melancholy feeling washes over you as you see your apartment building in the far distance. You just keep your head down and go the opposite direction.

The sky was going dark and there was a drizzle falling from the clouds.

The wind was blowing your hair in all different directions and the cold weather was turning the top of your nose to ice.

But all thoughts of that went away when you entered your old neighborhood.

You were almost certain that you wouldn't have to look at this place ever again, but things change.

And almost immediately after entering the area, you heard all those sounds that were like background noises to you.

The car or house alarms, the sound of glass breaking or the flickering of the lights on lampposts.

You fiddled with the necklace that Jimin gave you all that time ago. The one that looked like your mothers one.

You remember he had made you read all his favorite books in order for you to get it.

It's nice to think of nice memories of a person, especially when you're going through a hard time with them.

You turned a corner and was a mere few seconds away from your destination.

You sighed upon seeing the building in front of you and you warily walked toward where you kept the spare key.

It was always hidden inside a flower pot at the edge against the ceramic curve, buried in the soil.

Only you knew about this little hiding spot and it was there for situations where you would come home from work and find out the at you'd forgotten your key and instead of knocking on the door and making your father angry, you could use this spare key.

You shook the dirt off of it and walked to the front door, slotting the key into the key whole and twisting it.

The door opened and you were met with a freezing cold, dark house.

You placed your bag at the door before locking it, not trusting to keep it unlocked.

You then went to turn on the heating, hoping it would warm up the building soon.

As you passed through rooms you turned on the lights.

It looks exactly the same as how you left it.

You kept all the bad memories out of your head that were bursting to get in and fill your brain with those horrible scenes, but you pushed them all away.

You just had to stay here for a week at most and then the university will open get the forms back up and running.

You rubbed your hands together as you walked from room to room. You entered the living room and notices bottles of cheap whiskey that were near finished and smoke buts littered around the place.

You sighed and began cleaning everything up, not liking that reminder of him being around you.

After finishing cleaning up, you noticed a white little card on the floor. You bent down and picked it up and saw that it was your appointment card with the doctor and because of that, you decided that it would probably be a good idea to try and eat something.

You opened your refrigerator and found nothing but rotting foods and sour milk that had been sitting there for months.

I won't even ask you to imagine it.

You turned green at the sight and the smell certainly did not help.

You ran to the sink to get sick, but there was no food to throw up. So you just stood there as your stomach constricted trying to vomit.

After a few minutes it stopped and you wiped your tears away, wanting to just curl up in bed. Unfortunately, you knew you had to eat so you were going to have to find something.

You opened your cupboards and found a lonely cup of ramen.

You used to eat those every week and you used to feel sick at the sight of them, but after a few months of not eating them, you still felt bored of them, but you feel like you could eat it willingly.

And so, you sat down on the couch with your duvet from your old bedroom and a cup of ramen in your hands, that you ate slowly, while watching some television.

You looked at your phone for a few minutes and by that, I mean looking at the home screen. You didn't have the heart to change the picture of you and Jimin that is there.

You loved that picture.

You're lying in bed and your hair is messy. You smile as you look at the camera and Jimin is turned to show his side profile. He's smiling gently but his eyes are focused on you, not the camera.

He looks at you with so much love.

In this picture Jimin adored you.

You missed that loving feeling that you are pining for now and you're cursing yourself for taking it for granted.

Jimin entered the house after his emotional scene when he arrived.

He noticed the huge Christmas tree first as he entered the building.

"You're still going all out to Christmas?" He chuckled.

"Well it is the most wonderful time of the year" she smiled as she held her sons arm. She wanted to provide him with as much comfort as possible. "Higgin's should be home soon, so you can leave your bags there and he'll bring them to your room"

Jimin shook his head. "No, a wise woman once told me to leave staff alone when you can, they've other things to be doing" he smiled faintly at the memory.

Jiyun looked at him with pity. "When did she tell you that?" She asked, wanting to know the rest of the story.

"When we were making pancakes for breakfast it was the first time she stayed over here" he smiled at the memory. "Do you remember? We got a pancake stuck on the ceiling that day"

"I do remember. I can recall being so shocked that she actually got you to cook something" she grinned.

Jimin nodded and his smile faltered.

"But yeah anyways, I think I'm just going to go and unpack my stuff. I'll be back when I'm finished" Jiyun nodded at his informing.

He picked up his bag and began to walk in the direction of his room, whilst Jiyun stood in the same place. She was nervously biting her thumbnail, wondering what the hell happened between the both of you.

She was really upset at the fact that you wouldn't be spending Christmas with them as she'd planned. It was going to be herself, her son and her daughter-in-law.

She was so sure that you two would stay together forever and that's why she could casually say it.

But now you're her sons ex.

But you will always be seen as the daughter she never had in her eyes.

Her mind boggled at the thoughts of what you were going to be doing for Christmas. Where would you be and who would you be with.

She just shook her head to rid the thoughts.

Her priority at the minute was her heartbroken son, so she started making his favorite dinner that he loved as a child.

It might bring some bit of life back into him.

The little quirks that this house had made you reminisce in what your daily life consisted of when you lived here. You felt as if you were in high school again.

You were in the shower, the only one in the house.

There were broken tiles dotted around.

A really dodgy toilet.

A shower/ bath with shit water pressure and if you turned the hot water to full, it's lukewarm barley.

So you used to have cold showers day in and day out, not remembering what the luxury of a warm shower was.

You stood under the head of the shower as water managed to drip from the nozzle.

"Now I remember why showers used to take me so long to have" you said to yourself.

After awhile the shower had just begun to annoy you as it was taking too long to wash the suds from your hair. So you hopped out of the shower and let your hair dry as you changed clothes.

You wrapped up warm, remembering how cold the house used to get at night. Hopefully your hair would be dry by the time you went to bed, not wanting to catch a cold.

You sat down on the couch again and gazed at the roof above you. You noticed the crusty painting job was really unflattering and then you rolled your eyes that your mind has now gone to thinking of the most boring of things.

You heard your phone ring and you quickly picked it up, hoping that maybe Jimin rang you.

He had no reason to do so, but you just hoped he would call.

"Hello?" You asked.

"Hey doll" you heard the friendly voice that was Alex's through the phone. "How are you?"

You just remembered that you didn't tell her about Jimin yet.

"I'm really not good" you told her.

"Oh no, tell me what's wrong" she said worriedly.

And that's how it began, you were on the phone with one of your best friends telling her about what has happened over the past week, telling her that you couldn't cope anymore and that you didn't want to put him through that either.

"Oh y/n, I'm so sorry" she whispered. "I didn't even know you were having it that bad. Obviously I knew you were going through shit, but if I had known to what extent you were facing it at I would've helped" she admitted. "Why didn't you tell me? You know you can tell me anything in the entire world, right?" She asked and you sniffled and hiccuped.

"Of course I know that! It just doesn't feel real and I really don't like taking about it. I don't even like to think about it, but that's all I can think about! I can't get him out of mind" You whimper.

"Everything is meant to happen for a reason doll, don't lose hope. If it's meant to be then it's meant to be, just let fate work that out for you" she advised and you sighed.

"Why the hell does fate get to decide! I want to decide for myself" you argued.

"Well fate brought you to break up with him, it obviously has plans for you to conquer in the future and then maybe you'll be ready to be with your loved one once again" she explained to you. Alex likes the idea of fate and completely believes that we have a life set in stone from the day we were conceived.

"What if he's already moved on by then?" You hiccup.

"I don't think you need to worry about that too much" she chuckled.

"I just miss how interested he used to be in me. I don't mean that in an asshole way" you clarified and she giggled slightly.

"I don't think he lost interest in you. I just think he was going through a tough time between everything that was going on and he forgot to prioritise you as much as he used to, but his head is certainly going to be clear when you reunite soon doll. He's regretting taking you for granted and he knows that" she spoke.

"Yeah" you sighed as you were very unsure of everything.

"Just don't forget to focus on yourself and clear your head of anything that's triggering you at the moment" she commands.

"I will"

"But don't go running away from anything he throws at you" Alex said. "If he makes you feel something y/n, let him"
