06 ~ Soggy Cornflakes
///
It was around two am when your roommate stumbled into your dorm, drunk as ever.
You peaked your eyes open and looked at her stumbling figure.
You heard a sneeze from someone that wasn't your roommate and you were immediately confused.
Your roommate giggled. "I love you Choi Chaerin " She slurred and attached her lips to the Chaerin's.
Chaerin looked so confused. Her hair was in a messy bun and she had her fluffy pajamas on with tissues stuffed up her sleeves.
She must've been asleep when Sowon walked drunkenly into her dorm, demanding that chaerin follows her into her dorm.
"I love you too hun, but we can't do this here and now" she said as Sowon tried to re-attach their lips to hers.
"Why not?" Sowon giggled.
"Because number one, I'm sick, two, y/n is literally on the opposite side of this divider and three, you are so so drunk" she whispered.
Sowon pushed her onto the bed and climbed onto her lap. "Well I don't care that you're sick, y/n won't wake if we are quite and who cares that I'm drunk. I'm fully aware that I want to do this right now" you could practically hear her smirking.
And that's when you began to hear muffled moans and you weren't going to be there while they were doing god only knows what.
So you put on shoes and grabbed your speech as well as a pen. You were almost positive that they would be awhile so you might as well get something productive done.
You then proceeded to tip toe out of the dorm. They didn't even notice your presence leaving.
And that's how you found yourself outside your dorm at two am, in your pajamas, with a pen and a manuscript of a speech, not knowing where to go.
Your initial instinct was to go to Jimin's so that's where you began to make your steps take you.
Once you arrived outside the door you twisted the handle but it was locked. You then proceeded to knock, hoping he was in there, but again you had no luck.
You sighed as you didn't know where to go next.
You began to just let your feet wander.
And you ended up at the entrance of the building. You looked at your feet and then you looked through the glass windows and doors to the dark, rainy outside and you made the decision that you didn't exactly want to go out in the cold and wet weather.
So you ended up sitting at a couch and table in the entrance lounge for the guts of an hour. You were editing your speech, constantly writing side notes on the margin, telling yourself to edit something a certain way or so.
Your body seemed to be focused on the paper before you, but your head was swamped with Jimin. You would've thought he would be back in his dorm by now, but apparently not.
It's not that you didn't trust him, you were just curious. Every girlfriend has a right to be curious.
You gathered your things, deciding that you weren't in the right mood to be doing this anymore and made your way to the buildings kitchen to get a post midnight snack.
The kitchen was huge, considering it has to feed the whole building and it was a big building.
You opened the door and found a group of people who had obviously just been at a party, they were drunkenly sat around the counter on the opposite side of the room to you, doing god knows what.
You just ignored them and got a bowl of cornflakes as well as milk.
As you were pouring the milk, your back was to the drunk group, and you felt someone snake their arms around your waist and your initial reaction was to panic and get away.
So you unlatched their hands from around you and pushed the figure away, only for you to now notice it was Jimin.
"Oh" you said from shock.
Jimin pouted. "Whattss w-wrong" he hiccuped.
"S-Sorry, I didn't know who it was" you said, still a bit shocked.
"My muffin didn't recognize me?" He drunkenly frowned.
"I couldn't smell your cologne that you usually have on, you reek of alcohol" you explained, deciding to leave out the smell of smoke that is also very much present in his scent.
Jimin just began to giggle.
"I love you" he said, leaning toward you for a hug.
"I know you do chim" you said rubbing his back. "Now you go back to your friends" you said, trying to push him off you gently as his scent was making your nose burn.
"What? You don't love me too?" He said pouting, reaching for your figure to latch onto him again.
"Of course I do" you gently smiled. "I don't want to take you away from your friends, so go on over to them" you say to him and he immediately whines and shakes his head.
"Noooooo I wanna stay with muffinnn" he said, fake sniffling.
"You can be with me tomorrow, okay?" You asked and he hesitantly nodded.
His friends were looking over at the both of you.
You picked up your bowl and was about to leave when someone's voice caught your attention.
"Hey Jimin, why don't you ask your pretty girlfriend to stay, we can play some fun games with her" the guy, you recognize as being the rude one from the diner aka Minho, called out and the girl around his arm began to giggle.
You immediately refused, not liking the idea of being in this situation.
"Oh, no I'm okay. Thanks though" you called back.
And you hesitantly placed a kiss against Jimin's cheek.
You heard the guy say "buzzkill" to his friends and you immediately looked down, almost as if you were ashamed.
Ashamed of the situation? Or yourself?
You just picked up the bowl and left.
"Hey nice PJ's by the way!" Minho hollered at you as you closed the door.
You hated everything about that whole situation.
Your cornflakes were now soggy in your bowl, making you even more annoyed.
You still ate the cereal, because there was no point in wasting food like that and then you were sat at a random table in the dining area, not knowing what to do next.
You didn't want to go back to your dorm incase you walked in on your roommate doing something your really, really did not want to see. You didn't want to spend the rest of your night on the lounge couch, it's cold and lonely there.
So you walked to the games room, knowing that it would be warmer in there.
There was a few people there, playing a late night game of air hockey and such, but they didn't bother you.
And so you sat there until morning looking out the window gazing as the sky went from dark, to pink, to yellow, to a deep early morning blue.

"I've decided that this is not the type of culinary that want to peruse in life" Yugyeom said as you yawned for the seventh time in the past five minutes.
"Really?" You said tiredly as he flipped a patty on the grill.
"Are you serious? Working in a diner? If I had to do this everyday, I would cry myself to sleep every night" he said and you chuckled softly.
You were back to work as it was Monday. And as per usual, you and Yugyeom were so delighted and ready to work.
Please hint the sarcasm.
You heard the front door open and you made your way out of the kitchen. You grabbed a few menus and began talking before even looking at the customer.
"Hello, welcome to Grub N' - Jackson?" You asked seeing your long lost friend in front of you.
He seemed shocked, not knowing that that you would be here.
"You work here?" He asked and you nodded hesitantly. "Oh, I didn't know. I just came because Jinyoung told me Yugyeom worked here, I thought I'd visit" he explained and you nodded.
"I'll go get him for you" you said looking at the floor.
"Y/n?" He called just as you were about go into the kitchen to get Yugyeom.
You turned on your feet to face him. "Yeah?"
"It's good to see you doing so well" he smiled gently and you returned the smile.
"You too. I miss you, you know. We used to have a lot of laughs together" you said, grinning in remembrance.
"Yeah, we should meet up some time" he suggested.
"We definitely should" you perk up before going and getting Yugyeom.
He was acting kind of weird compared to when I met him the other day, you thought, but you decided to brush it off your shoulder.

"Sorry to interrupt," you say cutting in Yugyeom and Jackson's conversation. "But I need you in the kitchen, i just got a few orders" you smiled awkwardly, feeling guilty about interrupting their conversation.
"Oh yeah, of course. Thanks for holding up the place while I talk to Jackson" he smiled taking the orders from you and bidding goodbye to Jackson.
"Thanks y/n" Jackson said sweetly.
"No problem" you smiled. "I'm sorry I had to steal him back" you said, cleaning a nearby table.
"Oh no, don't worry. I'm pretty sure we were finished talking anyways" he said standing from his chair.
There was a few seconds of a pause before Jackson spoke again. "So anything fun happening with you?" He said, trying to make conversation.
You sigh, thinking before you answer.
"No, not really. I have a speech presentation on Wednesday, which I'm extremely nervous about" you laugh nervously.
"There's no need to be, I'm sure you'll be great. What time is it on at?" He asked.
"It starts at five in that old building by the library" you said absentmindedly.
"Sounds fun" he chuckled seeing how stressed you were.
"It's quite the opposite I must admit"
"I believe you" he chuckled.
"I should probably get going" he said and you nodded, saying a quick goodbye and returning back to your work.
A person walked in just as Jackson was leaving.
Jackson visually stiffened.
"Hey Jimin" Jackson spoke, seeing said person in front of him.
Jimin looked up and was immediately confused as to what Jackson was doing at the diner.
Jimin hasn't seen Jackson in months.
He looks past him to see you clearing away dirty dishes.
"Hey" Jimin said, anyone could tell from his voice that he was beyond puzzled.
Jackson just nodded slightly and continued walking.
Jimin turned and watched him leave, and once the doors were closed he returned his eyes to your figure.
You still had not noticed his presence.
He walked up to beside where you were standing, "Hey muffin" he said tiredly.
"Oh, Hey" you replied, walking back to the counter.
"Jackson goes to this university?" He quirked an eyebrow, following behind you.
"Yeah, he just popped in to talk to Yugyeom" you explained and he nodded.
"Did you talk to him?"
"Briefly"
Jimin rolled his eyes slightly.
"Can I have some water?, I have a headache" he asked.
"You know that's probably because of your hangover" you said while filling up a glass for him.
"Yeah, no shit Sherlock" he joked sarcastically.
"Just stating the obvious" you chuckled. "So how was the party last night?" You asked curious.
"I'm going to be honest with you and admit that I remember hardly anything" he said laughing at himself. "I remember leaving you and going to the house, then drinking a lot" he said wincing at his headache was beginning to thump inside his head. "And I don't remember much after that. Although I have some image of meeting you in the dorm building's kitchen, but that was probably just a drunk dream" he chuckled.
You handed him a paracetamol tablet from your handbag under the counter, seeing him react to his headache as he spoke.
"No that actually happened" you said returning the pack of tablets to your bag as Jimin swallowed the tablet with a gulp of his water.
"Wait seriously?" His eyes widened. "What were you doing in the kitchen at the hour of the night?" He asked.
"Well I was about to go to sleep when a drunk Sowon brought an ill Chaerin into our dorm and started making out, so naturally I didn't want to be there if they went further, which I'm sure they did" Jimin nodded.
"How did you end up in the kitchen though-"
"Shush! I'm still explaining" you said scowling causing Jimin to laugh. "So then I went to your dorm, hoping you'd be home because I wasn't going back into my dorm to get your key, but you weren't. So I stayed in the front lounge for awhile and then I found myself becoming very hungry, so I went to get a snack and that's when I met you" you explained while refilling Jimin's water.
"Please don't tell me I did something stupid" he said, already squinting in fear of embarrassment.
"No, nothing in particular. You were clingy and affectionate, but you're always like that when you're drunk so it wasn't much of a surprise" you said, picking at your fingernails.
"Are you okay?" He asked, seeing you grow quiet.
You were thinking back to his "friend" that was there, Minho, the one who called you a buzzkill.
Sure, it was a pathetic nickname but you felt bad thinking that Jimin's friends think you're a loser.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine" you smiled, not looking at him.
"Are you sure?-"
"You're going to be late for dance practice" you said looking up at the clock. "And I have to get back to work" you said, grabbing orders that Yugyeom had just left out for you.
You walked to the designated table and gave them their orders with a kind grin, hoping that when you returned to the counter, Jimin would be gone.
But alas, you should've known better.
He was sitting on his chair patiently waiting for you.
"No goodbye kiss?" He asked, with a small pout.
You gave him a peck on his lips and moved to turn away.
Well that was until he grabbed your hip as you turned and swung you back into him and he pressed his lips against yours.
"I wanted a proper kiss" he whispered gently.
You cleared your throat and nodded.
It feels as if it's been awhile since that has happened.
"I'll talk to you after practice, don't think that this conversation is over" he said pressing his lips against yours once again before leaving.
