Watching how the machines were being produced in the black and white pictures wasn't so entertaining but Sapphire stared. Deeply and vacantly at the display. She hated herself so much, and Jade. She hasn't met his grandfather, but she hated him already. It was all because of him she had to skip her sweet sleep. Her precious rest time to watch one annoying discovery production.

'Only if it was a film featuring gabby.' Sapphire wished.

The rest of the night was quiet as she didn't blink a bit or dare to close her eyes. One thing she didn't want was to have Jade kiss her. Imagining this alone was unbearable....

After The Programme...

The guests stood up from their seats and started walking out of the Cinema. It was just 11:00 a.m by the time. Sapphire was feeling sleepy. Craving to reach home as soon as possible and hug her bed really tight. Sandra watched vividly as Sapphire staggered after Jade.

“She doesn't look familiar, right?” Sandra asked her husband.

“Yes, I don't recognize her.” He replied her.

Ace looked at Sapphire this time, just then, he noticed how ordinary she was looking.

'She isn't as curvy as most girls were.' He thought as his eyes scanned through her slim figure.

“We'll have to go and find out for ourselves, then.” Walter suggested as the Damien's family walked out of the building.

“Oh, CEO Jade!” A business person called.

“It's been a while.” Jade shake hands with the person as the camera operators take pictures of them.

Sapphire was in a corner, watching like a rabbit that wants to escape from its hole. She wouldn't want to get shot mistakenly.

After waving goodbye to a couple of guests, Jade was about to leave when a voice called him.

“It's been a while, nephew.” Walter started.

Jade watched the Damien's vacantly as they stood before him.

“Who's that young lady over there?” Sandra tittered. “She came with you, right?”

“She's someone I met in a business meeting, Aunt.” Jade replied to her politely.

“Work-related affairs? Is she from the hotel?” She asked interestedly. “Well, it doesn't seem like it.”

“Are you studying physiognomy nowadays?” Jade rolled his eyes at her and walked away without saying goodbye.

The Damien family looked at him with a disparaging smirk as he walked to meet Sapphire.

“That imprudent little brat!” Walter cursed.

Ace watched how both of them took weird stares at each other before walking away. Ace leered at Sapphire's tiredness. He didn't know who she is but for some reasons, he wanted to know.

'Jade won't be with a girl if there's nothing attached. Whether business related or not, Jade is unable to genuinely love a girl, no matter her position or beauty. He would leave her very soon.' Ace pondered as he followed his parents to the car park.

On the other hand, about to enter the car, Sapphire stopped Jade.

“We really need to have a talk!” Sapphire began.

“What is it again?” Jade quirked an eyebrow at her.

“Let's rewrite the contract.” She said.

“What?! Why now?” he raised a thick eyebrow at her.

“This didn't occur to me, but I left something out in there?” She cried.

Hearing her say this made Jade's heart skip. She dare not find out about his secret. He would surely be exposed if she's given the contact again. He was scared, she might find out about the last page of the contract... About Ace being a potential candidate.

“What's missing, exactly?” Jade startled.

“Physical contact!”

Jade takes a stealthy look at her while she gawked at him, annoyingly.

“Do you want to include something as insignificant as that into the contract?”

“Yes.” She replied, him sincerely.

“We can just go ahead without having physical contact, if you don't want it. There's no point calling the attorney again.” He convinced. “But we can stay a month at least before having sex, right?”

Hearing him say this almost made Sapphire cough out her coffee on him.

“OMG! Are you crazy right now? How can you even say that to me? I'm not even interested in you Mr. CEO. I just signed the contract because of Gabby's sake!” She completed. Jade handed her a handkerchief, but she jerked it away from his hand.
“I'll cut off your finger if you touch me!” She warned.

“I'm not saying we're going to elope tonight. And I'm not really down for that either. So, don't kill yourself already, uh?”

“What do you mean by that?!”

“What do you mean by what do I mean? We're really dating, Miss. It's natural for lovers to share physical contact.” He emphasized the last words as if it meant something.

“I don't think so! I told you I don't want to!”

“You shouldn't have signed the contract then! How can you say I can't touch you! Are you a nun? It's either you accept the physical contact stuff with me or pay the fee for breaching the contract! I can make it so that your idol guy will never make it as a star! Got it?!”

“Is that a threat?”

He smiled. “Of course not. Why would two lovebirds threaten each other?” He spoke very innocently.

“Anyway, don't worry yourself too much. Let's take things slowly. But if you really want, we coul-”

“Wait, I thought you said you don't like women like me! You said you hated girls like me then you are you changing your mind?”

“My grandpa likes you so much, so I should be patient as his grandson, right?”

“Since when were you such a considerate person?” Sapphire huffed and stared at him awkwardly.

'Buzz! Buzz!!'
Her phone rang so she picked up.

“Hello mum!”

“Again, a guy this Saturday?” Sapphire muttered.

Hearing this from Sapphire made Jade wear a serious look.

“Actually, that'll be a bit difficult.” She stuttered.

“No! I'm not seeing anyone. Well, I told you I don't have a boyfriend.”

Jade suddenly grabbed her phone and placed it close to his ear.

"Hello mum, I'm Jade Alejandro!” He screamed out loud.

"What are you doing? Have you gone nuts?!” Sapphire cried, trying to collect back her phone. He slapped her hand away.

"Yes, I'm the man from last time!” Sapphire stopped him but he looked at her. “Sapphire, I know you can't do without me but can I speak with your mum for a while?”

Fighting to hold the phone, Jade held her hand into his, tightly so she won't leave.

“No mum, we're in a serious relationship. So, she doesn't need another man.”

“Yes, at any rate, I'll officially introduce myself to you next time. Yes ma'am.” Jade added.

Sapphire dragged her phone from his hand at once.

“Hello mum, don't mind him, it's all a lie!”

“We just met, I don't even know the guy mum, I'd love to go on a marriage meeting on Saturday, please!”

“I told you no mu-” Sapphire realized that her mum had cut the call. She looked at the screen of her phone in frustration.

Sapphire huffed, placing a hand on her forehead.
“What are you doing, huh?! Is it because you're CEO, you think you can just have anything you want?!”

“Who is fire?” He asked, staring into her eyes lovingly.

“You don't need to know!” She cried and whined at the same time. “Geez! You're driving me up a wall!!”

She clutched her face as tears lingered down her eyes. Jade drank his coffee in pleasure as he watched Sapphire weep like a cold kitten.

At The Blac's House...

“I think Sapphire has got herself a man, honey.” Fiona, Sapphire's mum, reported to her husband. “He seems like an energetic guy, and he has a good voice.”

Fiona is a beautiful woman with short black hair. She had a slim shape just like her daughter's.

“I wonder what he does for a living. He might be an Agriculturist!” She added with so much joy laced in her voice.

“That'd be the best, wifey! I could leave my practice to my son-in-law.” John Blac, Sapphire's dad, smiled back at his wife.

“And we could have fire live with us. I'd be the happiest dad ever, wifey! I'd be so fulfilled. Having a son-in-law is like having a real son, you know.”

John smiled at the thought. He and his wife seemed happy together. It's what they've always wanted for their daughter.
