Meanwhile, Lucas visited Zoey's boutique to tell her what had to.

"I tried my best to convince him, Zoey. I think Jade's made up his mind."

"Jeez! That idiot!"

"Me?"

"No, I'm referring to your friend. He's so proud and arrogant. I wonder why I'm going this far just to bring them together. I guess that's why he makes so much money, huh? Because he's stupidly stubborn." Zoey vexed.

"Jade also feel down sometimes but I think he's ready to leave the past behind." Lucas explained.

"Does he really not have any feelings for her, then? I guess he didn't love Sapphire as much as I thought he did. Anyway, thanks for everything. I guess I misunderstood but... Since she can meet someone better with no regrets, I think there's nothing to worry about.

"So, I've tried all my best. Jade has his ways, you know."

"Yeah, yeah. I know. I also know that he's not the best for Sapphire. They just live in different worlds and nothing can be done about it. So, I have no intention of posting about you stalking me, online. At any rate, thanks for your hard work. Let's call this our last meeting. Bye." She stood up but Lucas held her back.

"Are you saying we aren't a thing. I thought we had a connection.” Lucas sounded weird the way he said it.

"Really?" Zoey blushed and walked towards him. "What do you mean connection? I was just a bit desperate to make you talk to Jade, that was why I said connection. There's no connection anywhere, okay?" She made clear to him, staring into his dark eyes as they both shared an eye contact. She kissed him and he immediately pulled back, worry written all over her face.

“I want to...” he muttered but it sounded like a whisper. "I want a connection with you."

Zoey kissed him again. Lucas pulled back and stared her into her ocean blue eyes, “Are you sure?”

"Yes, Zoey….just….go slow.”
His voice grew gentle and firm.

Zoey awkwardly put her arms around his shoulders. They stared into each other’s eyes for an awkward second. Lucas leaned down, as she brought her head up. Their lips connected in a sweet but awkward kiss.
Zoey deepened the kiss. With one hand, she took the glasses off his face and dropped it on her table.

Lucas's hand slid up her spine. Zoey felt a tremor go through her body.
Her hand held him closely resting on his built body. He unconsciously tilted his head to deepen the kiss. They kissed more and more passionately by the second.

In Jade's office...

He heaved out an heavy bread, tired of everything. Working, thinking about Sapphire, family and all. He took off the pink doll's face on his key holder and threw it away. His hand grabbed his phone as he decided to delete all the pictures they've had together. About to, memory of Sapphire meeting Dylan poured through. Worry converted his face but he left the pictures, still undecided.

Just then, miss Barbara walked in.

"The meeting is starting already, CEO."

"Alright." He replied her and went to the conference room.

Businessmen were seated as Barbara explained.
"I've prepare some stimulation of what it's be like for us to achieve 80% of our marketing goals. First, well establish an infrastructure geared towards Asian tourists and we'll prepare something that most Asians like...

Watching Jade, he was lost holding his forehead life someone sentenced to death. Mr Tim noticed and touched miss Barbara to look.

"CEO Jade." He called.

He jerked abruptly and looked up at them. Their eyes stared at him as if they caught him stealing something.
"Ummm... I'm sorry. Let's call it a day. Mr. Tim can go through the files for the main time. Excuse me." He took a folder and left.

Dylan is really cute as they described. His blond hair fitted him well, and he has icy grey eyes that gave him a mysterious look but his voice is low and calm.

He took Sapphire home in his classic Hyundai sonata black car and dropped her beside her apartment, the way Jade usually do.

"Is it okay for me to contact you again?" He asked with respect for her.

Sapphire looked away shyly.

"Yes." She ended up giving a fake smile.

"Okay then, bye."

"Bye." She answered blankly and walked upstairs.

Walking to her door, she saw Jade waiting beside her door. His hands were in his pockets, just the way he usually do. Shocked to the bones, Sapphire stared at him Speechlessly but she walked pass him as if she didn't see, let alone, recognize him.

"Do you like that man?" He asked, in his usual baritone voice.

Sapphire facing her door had to turn back to him. She hated the fact that he came back to ask her that.

"Why are you asking me something like that, Jade?" She frowned at him.

"Is that why you told him that it's okay for him to contact you again?" Jade started at her confused eyes. Large and blue. She raised her gaze at him looking really sad as she fight down the hysteria.

"He's a good man. Loving and caring and I want nothing more." She defended. "It's time for me to live a happy life too now Jade, and probably get married and have ki-" Jade held her closely with one grip. He tried to control his breath that thickened.

"Don't talk about other men, fire."

"Don't tell me what to do and what not to. It's over betwee-" She pushed him away but he held her closely and placed his lips on hers in a full grip. He deepened the kiss again, tasting the sweetness of her lips he'd so missed.

Sapphire tried to pull away but just couldn't. As if somehow, his kiss drenched the fire of hate burning inside of her. She missed him. Everything about him. Jade finally let go as they ended up stared at each other's lips. She could still feel his hot, earthy breath on her skin. Sapphire tried to control her breath it felt awkward standing right next to him after 2 months of breakup.

"What do you want from me, Jade? Why are you even here?!" Sapphire frowned, making him feel guilty.

"If you can move on without me, fire, so can I."

She looked away, not knowing what to do or say.

"You'll have to eat with me every day. There would be outings and reporters running after us but this time, we won't run or hide. I would be busy but you'll be my priority, I promise. My mother will be on my side but she might me mean to you. All my siblings might hate you because you're having the Chairman's heart but please, just ignore what everyone thinks and says about us and let's fight this together. You might not be able to help my business in any way but stay by myself because you're my strength, fire. Only you.  Are you okay with that?" He stared into her blue as that glittered at his. Tears clouding her eyes with his words.

"How... Could I possibly be okay with that, huh?" A teardrop lingered.

"But still try and bear it. I want to be with you, fire and never leave. I'll be good to you and possibly you'll make me a better person. I know I'm not perfect when it comes to relationship. I mess up, I start fights and easily get jealous but there are three things I'm proud of being me; I do not play, I give my best and when I chose you, it's only you." He confessed in truth and earnestly.

"What are you even talking about?" Her eyebrows were pulled in due to his awkward confession.

"All I'm trying to say is... I miss you, Sapphire. I want to hold your hands till when I'm old and grey. I chose you to be my life partner." Jade explained.

"I missed you too, Jade. I still feel the same about you."

"That's good then. Sapphire Blac, I want to marry you. I can't hold the fact that I'm still in love with you. I can't stop myself."

They stared into their eyes once more, pouring out their heart and hidden feeling at each other.

"Jade Alejandro. I don't know what to say now. I don't have the confidence to reply you right now, just... Leave." She pulled herself off his grip and turned back.

A tear rolled down her eyes as she entered her room. With the door closed, more tears lingered down her eyes.

"How annoying! I've almost forgotten about him. I've tried hard to forget about that idiot and he came back. What does he wants from me?" She felt water creep out of her eyes as her mouth went watery and salty.
She buried her head on the table, sobbing softly.
