The stars shined bright, but you were the only thing that shone in my eyes; you gently pulled me in your direction like the tides.

Much like the moon, though the stars twinkled and painted the sky, you lit up the night with a light that could not be replaced by any other.

Though when you shined brighter, the stars around you died. Maybe not for long, but just enough for me to enjoy your singularity.
