I see a little boy, staring at me
I see a scared boy, in desperate need
I see a boy who needs a light
To find his way through the night
Who doesn't know what to do
I think of love and I think of you

I know a little boy, who I love so
I know an anxious boy, I watched him grow
I know a boy who thinks he's wrong
He's been alone for so long
And though I try to help him
He doesn't seem to give in

I hold this little boy, I hold him close
I hold my precious boy, forever, I hope
I hold this boy everyday
And try to build the courage to say
Something I don't say enough
To say "My darling, it's you I love"

I miss my little boy, I miss him so much
I miss this little boy, who left on a hunch
I miss his smile and his laughter
But now he's gone and nothing's left here
He left my arms and clearly for good
The last I saw was his dark hood

I love a little boy, but he doesn't love me
I love my little boy, anyone can see
I love his smile and his light
We guided each other through the night
These circumstances may be new
But know this, little boy, I still love you
