Fading Anniversary

It's the 20th of January,
Watching our fading 4th anniversary
Where there are flickering lights
And fireworks in the night.

Young teenagers dancing,
Dazzling masks hanging
As I look into the sky
I remember the day I cried.

Tattoos on skins and faces
Couples wearing the same outfits
My lips formed a smile
Thinking this would be a great fight.

Two DJs on the wing
Leading the crowds like kings
Wish I could sing you a song
And prove yourself wrong.

Waiting for a bus to arrive
Wondering if everything's alright
I swear I'm totally fine
I happened to bear the pain and survived.

This is a poem of a girl with yellow shirt
Who doesn't want to get hurt
Cheers to this fading anniversary
Because my happiness with you was just temporary.

We're peacefully celebrating the festival
Ignoring the rotten letters in the trash can
I realized love is a survival
And without you, everything went better than it ever was.
