Down in the Mouth

I once lived under serene skies,
Gradually embracing tranquil winds;
When the firmament starts to cry,
It would always wash away my sins.

When I go and hit the dashing roads,
I would set aside my beast mode;
Then the sun would glimmer at me
Whilst I stand by the blue sea.

Now that the page has been flipped,
I wish I was that same old blissful kid,
Giving off a sincere smile to others
As if my shackles were not a bother.

Sadly, the sweat of hope in my body
Emanating from my albino skin
As I submerged down into a chasm,
Is slowly making me balmy.

So in my heart, if hatred still resides,
How can I ask for forgiveness?
I rue for what I did last night,
How could I defy His kindness?

My wounded soul needs a shield
For it looks like I just got killed,
After all the wrongdoings right now
I will be down in the mouth.
