Playlist: love hurts, but hey i'll be alright

. . .

The temptations grew and grew as time went by during the day, face growing hot, ears and tail twitching at every sound, always on alert, always ready to take action in case something was going to happen, in case she needed to hurt someone. Kawaii-Chan didn't like the feeling of being on alert at all times, the constant feeling of needing to be able to do something or to need to defend someone if needed. Kawaii-Chan felt the need to be close to Zane, the urge to hurt anyone that touched him, the urge to feel his skin and claim it as her's. Show everyone who he belongs to, her and her only yet she didn't want to.

But she did, and she regretted it so much.

She snapped, well she didn't snap but the urge to do so did. She wouldn't have done it if she had a choice but it seemed something inside her had other plans...

. . .

It was time to close and she was left alone in the backroom that held the changing rooms inside that said room. During the day when Zane was serving other females, Meif'wa's or not it bugged her, she didn't like it, she didn't like how he talked about Aphmau, how she was so amazing and so nice

And then he went on again about her, talking about her and how nice it was to spend time with all of them, and it was nice to be able to spend time with her even at work. She hated it right now, she wouldn't usually hate it but now she did.

And then after everything, all the composure she kept, all the things in her mind she kept hidden, and that voice at the back of her mind broke free of its restraints and it took over, and all she could do is watch and try to take back control.

Zane was walking next to the wall talking about how it was nice being here again, that he was glad Aphmau decided to do this again, he was glad to be working here again; he didn't see it coming, but before he knew it he was pushed into the wall by Kawaii-Chan.

Kawaii-Chan pushed his shoulder near her a bit and pushed him onto the wall, she followed him and used both her hands and grabbed each one of his wrists, nails sharpening digging into his wrists. She moved his arms above his head used a hand to hold both of his wrists above his head, her nails digging into his flesh creating a stinging situation, close to digging into his flesh. "N-Nana! W-what are you..." His pale skin contrasted with the red blush on his face highlighting every freckle on his face.

He looked at her, eyes widening, her eyes were a reddish orange shade, not her normal eye color. 'Nana... What happened to Nana, this isn't the Nana I know, those aren't her eyes.' Zane thought. "Nana why are yo-" A low growl came from her throat, her eyebrows furrowing nails digging deeper into his skin. "Shut. Up." She hissed, she tore off his mask from his face it sliding across the floor. "N-Nana what are you doing?" Zane asked.

"Trying to get you to stop talking about her, your mine and only mine; even if I have to show you that." She explained, she leaned in for a kiss but he moved his head away. "Kawaii-Chan stop!" He shouted, his voice was a little loud hoping it would stop her from doing this. "Ugh, why do you have to be so difficult Zane?!" She groaned. "What are you doing Kawaii-Chan?!" He tried to struggle out of her grip but that only resulted in her nails digging into his skin more, it hurt.

"I'm marking you to show you everyone else that you are mine Zane." She hissed, she pulled away and used her other hand to quickly pull off his scarf it too sliding across the room. "You're gonna bite me?!" He shouted Kawaii-Chan smiled. "What else would I do Zane-Senpai?" She traced a finger over his neck a grin on her face, fangs visible. "I'll make sure everyone knows who exactly you belong too, Nana Ashida." He turned his head to cover his neck. "Nana no! Stop!"

Kawaii-Chan chuckled and grinned again. "Don't worry Zane-Senpai. It won't hurt that much, just move your head now." Zane didn't move his head. "Nana, please... Don't do this, this isn't you." Kawaii-Chan growled. "Move your neck!" She demanded, he didn't move his head, only responded with tears stinging his eyes. "Nana... Don't do this, I don't want this."

She growled, she grabbed his head and pushed it out of the way, tears now running down his cheek. "It won't hurt, I promise Zane-Senpai." She moved closer to his neck, his struggle to get out of her grip becoming more evident. "STOP!" He shouted, she only tightened her grip on his wrist trying to stop him from struggling which only stopped him a little bit, her nails digging into his skin drawing blood. "Stop struggling," She growled. "NO! HELP! SOMEONE HELP!"

She was close to his neck. "NO!" He shouted. The door slammed open and she pulled away from his neck, blinking, her eyes turned back to amber and she looked around to see that she was in control of herself once again.

At the door, there was Aphmau, Aaron, and Garroth. She didn't have time to react until she was pushed away harshly by Garroth, her eye widened and she caught her balance, what had she done?

She looked up to see Aphmau and Aaron staring at her shocked, stepping towards her cautiously, the door left open. She looked over to where Zane was too see his fall into his brother's arm hugging him tightly letting out a choked sob into his shirt, Garroth hugged him back and rubbed circle into his back.

"K-Kawaii-Chan what did you do? Zane, he's..." Aphmau asked she looked at Zane and then to her. 'Zane never cries, he barely ever cries in front of anyone.' Kawaii-Chan thought, she felt tears pricking the corner of her eyes but she blinked them away. Aaron took a step in front of Aphmau, motioning her to stand behind him. "I think I know what's going on babe, stand behind me, just in case she tries something." Aaron knew what was going on, yet she didn't what was this?

But she couldn't handle everything and she ran out and left the others to suffer with unanswered questions.

. . .

She ran out and to the front of the cafe and into the open sidewalk a wall separating her from the restaurant, she leaned against the wall and sighed. She took in a deep breath calming herself. Her eyes widened as her phone rang.

She opened her bag and looked at her phone as it rang her, the name Naomi Ashida was the Caller ID, it was her mom's full name. Her mom had dark pink hair with bright orange eyes. She had never been happier to see that name on her phone, she needed someone to talk too that was a Meif'wa someone who might have known what was going on. She could have called Michi but she probably changed her phone number, and they currently weren't friends anymore, definitely not Kai, she didn't have his phone number or even knew what happened to him.

She thought about consulting Aphmau and Aaron about these things, they were a close species to Meif'wa, maybe they went through something like this. She knew that Meif'wa and Werewolves had similar traits and similar abilities when compared, some traits remained hidden from the variety of people and the variety of species, she didn't know everything about Meif'wa's because sometimes her parents hid things from her. She put the phone up to her ear.

"Mom?... What are you calling Kawaii-Chan all of a sudden?" She heard a mom let out a sigh of relief. "Thank Irene you answered, I was worried the Season got to you." 'Season? What season? Summer? Why would summer get to me?' The way she formed season as if it was a threat set up on an even more of an edge, she was already on an edge after she may or may not have hurt her boyfriend.

"Kawaii-Chan doesn't understand what would get to Kawaii-Chan, what does the Season have to do with how Kawaii-Chan is?" Kawaii-Chan asked, her head tilted. 'Does that have to do with how I was acting today?' She thought. "Nana, please tell me you stayed away from your boyfriend, I heard he's human and I know that during this time you need to stay away from him." Naomi urgently asked.

Kawaii-Chan froze where she stood, what does she tell her mother? "Yes, Kawaii-Chan did stay away from her boyfriend." Kawaii-Chan lied, she hoped that her mom bought it. "Nana... I know when you lie. What did you do to him?" Naomi's voice was low and soft, pleading with her that she didn't go too far.

"Mom... I didn't-"

"Please Nana, tell me what you did to him. Please," Her voice was pleading, she couldn't say no, she could tell her mom the truth even it was hard.

"Mom... He was talking about my friend Aphmau and he was happy my friend Aphmau reopened this, how he was happy that he could spend time with her even at work, he and Aphmau were best friend and it never bothered me before but now it did. And when he was in the middle of talking I don't know what happened I... I..." Tears rolled down her cheeks. "Something inside you snapped?" She guessed. Kawaii-Chan only nodded. "Yes mom, it did,

"Did you do anything else dear?" Naomi asked.

"Yes mom," Naomi sighed. "Tell me everything," Kawaii-Chan took a deep breath in and calmed herself as best as she could. "Mom, when something snapped I could only watch what I was going, I tried to get back control of myself but I only did when someone entered the room... When I lost control I pinned him to the wall using one of my hands, squeezing my nails into his skin, I think it even drew blood at the end. I kept telling him that he was mine, and I was going to mark him. I took off his mask and scarf against his will and tried to kiss him but he didn't let me..." She took a deep breath in a shudder running through her body.

"He started to cry telling me to stop and I tried to stop myself but I couldn't, he wouldn't move his neck so I moved his head away from it, I was trying to bite his neck with my fangs... I-I don't know why." She heard Naomi gasp on the other end of the phone. "But did you bite his neck, Nana?!" She urgently asked. "No mom I didn't," She heard her mother sigh in relief. "Nana, listen to me carefully." Nana nodded.

"I'm listening, mom..."

"You're going through a thing that all Meif'wa's go through in their life. It's called Marking Season-"

"M-marking Season?!"

"Look, this only happens once in your life and will only happen once. This only happens when the Sun Goddess has chosen you a mate you are meant to be with. Though this will only happen for a month, you can avoid it and you should. I have a friend that used to live in Tu'la with us. I'll send you the address to where her Library; she used to visit us when you were little. She'll surely recognize you, I'll tell her to provide all the information she needs to know. She is the only one I know who currently has the information to help you, she is the only one that can fully explain the history behind Meif'wa's marking seasons."

Kawaii-Chan nodded. "Okay, mom. I'll be there."

. . .

A/N: What did you think of this chapter? There is no official name for Kawaii-Chan's mom, so I called her Naomi. The next chapter will be going over what happened to Zane when Kawaii-Chan left and the history of Meif'wa's

Also, here's a little disclaimer for you, no means no, nothing else. If someone says no to what you're doing to them just stop, I've read a fanfiction where Aphmau said No what Aaron was doing and he didn't stop, and the author pushed past it as if it was nothing. Just like the picture below says, you need to follow by that rule.
