Hello my little wolves. I just want to say sorry for the super late update. I wanted to update sooner but things happened and I had to keep rearranging the chapter so yeah. Ally's POV

   My blanket was so warm that wanted snuggle it but then I felt it move. I opened my eyes to see that it wasn't a blanket. It was Jessy. I immediately got up, grabbed his arm and threw  him through the kitchen wall.The others, upon hearing the noise, got up to see what had happened.

"What's happening?" Eric asked as he along with his mate

"Someone doesn't know how to respect another person's personal space." I said

"That doesn't mean you can throw him through the wall!" James yelled

"What's the big deal? He's an alpha right? It's not like he's going to die from being thrown into a wall!"

"No, it's called respect. Which you clearly do not know how to show." He said as he walked over to go and help his  precious alpha out of my wall.

"Geez. You throw a guy into a wall and you get criticised for it. People these days." I said as I walked past them and towards the door.

"Where are you going Ally?" Eric asked me as I opened the door.

"Gathering. There's a lot that needs to be done thanks to all of you novices so I might as well go and get everything that i need."

"Well, can we help? We don't want to just stay here doing nothing while you are out working."

"Do whatever the hell you want. Just don't get in my way." I said as I went out the door, shifted and ran towards a rendezvous point.

By the time I reached it, Eric and Ariel had caught up to me and were waiting for my instructions. I took out two pairs I hidden clothes and tossed one pair at Ariel. Once we were back in our human forms, I started giving instructions.

"Ariel, you will be gathering fruits, vegetables and plants for our poisons. Eric, you will be hunting for animals. Rabbits, deers, fish, etc. I will be helping Ariel with her job, so you better bring in a big pile of meat when I came back. Now off you go."

When Eric went off to look for food, I led Ariel deeper into the forest until we arrived at a clearing. When she looked at it she gasped in amazement.

"Its beautiful. How on eaeth did you find such a place?" Ariel asked

"I made it. I needed resources so I planted this garden. It has all the plants in the world so I guess we could call it a forest. It's far from your territory so your pack won't notice it and the barrier around it radiates power so no one can enter this place."

"But it's so large! It's amazing that you were able yo do this on your own."

"Alright. Enough talking. There are lots of ingredients we need to harvest so go get a container from the shed over there and let's get to work."

Ariel's POV

After I grabbed a container, me and Ally got to work. She showed me which parts of the plants we needed, how to harvest them and how to separate the poison ingredients from the regular ingredients. After a while, we had loads of seeds, nuts, fruits vegetables and herbs. As well as parts from regular plants like flowers. The sun was at its highest right now and it was pretty hot.

"Hey Ally, is there anywhere where we can rest for a bit and cool off?" I asked

"Follow me." Is all she said before she put down her bucket full of plants and went off somewhere.

Not wanting to get lost, I quickly followed behind her. We walked and walked until we got to this wall covered by vines. I was skeptical at first but then, she put her hand on the wall and pushed. The wall separated and on the other side of it was an oasis.

There was a waterfall and a river that went straight through Ally's forest. The water was crystal clear as it fell down the cliff and into the river . You could even see the fish in the river. There are rocks on either side as if they were there as comfort spots.

"This is the best place to relax so enjoy." Ally said before she laid down on the grass by the river.

I immediately went over to the river and started swimming, trying to cool off. While swimming,  my wolf decided to talk to me.

'Why don't you talk to her?' She said

'Because I don't think she wants to talk to me. You've seen how she treats us.'

'True. But that's what bonding is for. Now us as good a time as any to try to get to know her. She is your daughter after all.'

After getting a peptalk from my wolf, I decided to try and talk to her. So I got out of the river and went over to Ally's side and laid down.

"Hey Ally, do you see me as your mother?"

"Not really." She replied bluntly

"Oh."

"But I guess that's because I don't know what a mother really is."

"What do you mean?" I asked as I looked over at her. It seemed ljjke she was wondering whether she should to tell me something or not.

"Back at my old pack," She started "there were women there. However, none were ever a mother figure to me. Or family for that matter. When I was a little, they acted as if they cared. But once I was deemed ready for training, everything changed. I was chained in a room alone and tortured for reasons unknown to me. The moon goddess was there occasionally. She couldn't touch me but she gave me encouragement which is why I stayed somewhat sane. But I've never had a gentle touch of a place to belong."

"Is that why you made your forest?"

"Yeah. I just wanted a place to belong. I mean, I was in a pack full of people. Yet, there wasn't a place for me there where they only thought of me as a tool. Think about it. You are in a place full of people who you know and they know you. But, they don't notice you. They don't make you feel welcome. They make you feel like you are not supposed to be there. Like the only reason to exist is to be nothing more than a tool. So in a place like that, how could I possibly know what a mother is?"

"But why a forest? Why not search for people who understand you?"

"Why search for the impossible? With a forest, you plant it, water it, give sunlight and it grows as well as best fruit and usable things. They can't talk, can't judge and can't betray me. They are a silence that I can welcome in order to think in a world that doesn't allow me peace of mind." She said as she sat up

"Well, let me show you what a mother is." I said as I grabbed her shoulders and brought her into a hug.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm hugging you."

"Who said you could hug me? Let me go." She said as she started to struggle

"Shhh. Just relax." I said as I started stroking her hair

"Why? Why are you so warm? Why do I have to feel so cold?" She said with a broken voice before she cried

"Even though the people who tortured me are dead,  I can't help but remember. It was so dark in the room. Dark and cold. There weren't any lights or heating. Just a stone cold room with chains attaching me to the floor and walls. No matter what I did, curling into a ball, wrapping myself in a thin blanket,I could never get warm. So why? Tell me! Why do you feel so warm? Why do you make feel so warm? I don't understand." She cried out

We just sat there, me holding my crying daughter. After a while, I felt her fall asleep. I laid Ally down and tried to get up to look for something that we could use as a pillow but she wouldn't let me go. So, I just laid down and stroked her hair as I slowly fell asleep myself.
