Alpha Ashton's POV-

it was mid afternoon and i sat cooped up in my office picking though large pile of paper work being an Alpha of a pack isn't all fun and games growls and snarls  it was mostly made up of peace treaties shuffling through pack members and all of that stuff i haven't found my mate yet though i hope too soon i groaned reclining back in my chair rubbing my sore neck thinking to myself that it was time for a break

"Alpha?" i heard my Beta,  Jerry call though the link and i groaned just when i thought i could relax

"yes" i answered gruffly wanting to get this over and done with quickly

"we have a rouge in the doungons"

i growled angrily rogues were wolves who were either banished for commiting crimes against their packs or wolves who had decided to leave their pack because their wolves hated pack life or they had no pack at all

"what have i told you Jerry kill all the rouges that tresspass onto our land"

"but Alpha" he started "she's not like other rouges"

"how so" i asked curious when it comes to Jerry he doesn't spare just anybody

"she didn't shift when she saw us and she doesn't even smell like a rouge"

"a spy then?"

"i don't know i was hoping you could take a look"

i sighed good bye break hello more pack work "i'm on my way i told him"

Jerry greeted me at the doungeons his blue hair spiked up in a fohawk he bowed his head a smile wriggling it's way onto his lips

"Alpha" he teased

"shut up" i growled and he chuckled

opening the dungeon doors and i walked though stopping for a moments as i was hit with a strong smell that over powered the pungent odor of blood, sweat and grim the smell of coffee and honey a sweet and tangy combination that lured me closer Jerry was already walking ahead and i followed him past the guards on duty and into the cell blocks as Jerry stopped at the cell my eyes automatically looked down at the small girl curled up on the concrete her clothes dirty and torn and stained with blood

"Alpha" Jerry said as i continued to stare at the girl through the bars

she was breathing and could be no older then 15 i took a deep breath in through my nose and felt my wolf stir coffee and honey

"i think she's my mate" i got out

as i moved towards the cell unlocking the door and pushing it open my eyes darkened as i saw the puddle of blood she was lying in

"who did that" i growled watching as her body froze when she heard my voice she curled up tighter she certainly didn't smell like a werewolf was my little mate ... human?

"no one Alpha she was found like that"

i growled and her position tightened if that were possible small whimpering noises came from her mouth

"well find the culprit" he nodded

"yes Alpha"

i waited until he was gone before i moved to her pulling her closer to me she cried out trying to get away from me but i held her tighter

"hey i said it's alright i won't hurt you"

she froze at my words slowly looking up at me her blue eyes shone with unushered tears

"now let's get you out of here hmmm?"

she nodded as i lifted her off the ground taking her out of the cell and the doungeon all together and i carried her all the way to the pack house
