Chapter 3

Jade Pov

"Look at me when I'm talking to you!" alpha Redwood demanded of Trish. She uncrossed her arms and met her father's eyes with anger almost equal to his.

The family meeting had only been going on for ten minutes, but my heart dropped so many times you would think it was ten years. Trish and I sat on the couch while alpha paced back and forth furiously yelling at us. Well mostly Trish. Leo and Mrs. Redwood stood behind alpha silently watching. Although the look on Leo's face said he felt bad for us.

"Dad it wasn't our fau-" Trish tried to explain again but alpha put up his hand to silence her before she finished the sentence. I haven't said one word this entire meeting. At this point I don't trust my voice with the fear riding me so hard about what our punishment will be.

"I have dealt with your problems for too long now Trishelle! It seems your relationship with Jade is not only unnatural but unhealthy." Says alpha Redwood disappointed. His words caused a small tear to well up in my eyes but I fought to keep it back biting my lips even harder.

"That's not true!" Trish yelled voice filled with the same hurt my heart felt. Alpha dismissed her comment with a wave of his hand as he finally stopped pacing and stood before us.

"Your punishment has been decided. I have spoken to alpha Hunter and he has agreed to let you two along with Leo temporarily join his pack to finish the remainder of the school year. You will stay at the pack house in separate rooms with him and his family and attend school with the young wolves there." Says alpha Redwood seriously. This can't be happening

"What!" Trish screamed and jumped up from her seat "Dad! There is no way I'm going to another pack!"

"Yes you are! The decision is final! You will all go and complete the school year there before you can come back. And if either of you mess this up Jade will be permanently removed from our pack and banned from seeing you." Said alpha Redwood with all his birth right authority

"Dad you can't do that! Jade is like family" Trish pleaded with her father. His face was unmoving

"This is your last chance girls, don't blow it. Tonight Leo, Trish and I will go meet the Hunter family and tomorrow you will move there so start packing, meeting adjured." Alpha finished and left the living room for his office.

The silence in the room was so thick it made my ears ring. Everyone was standing still and I was stuck in shock on the couch. He was sending us to another pack for the whole school year. Not only that, if anything went wrong I would have to leave my pack and never see my girlfriend again. The tears were burning so hot behind my eyes I couldn't blink them away. I jumped up from the couch and ran to my room.

Once there I locked the door and slid down it crying. It is such a dishonor to be removed from your birth pack. In most cases other packs will not even accept you and you will be forced to go rogue. This is the only family I have left and I don't want to lose them too. I hear a soft knock on the door behind me

"Not now Trish" I say barely above a whisper; I know she can hear me anyway

"Uh it's Josh" says Josh nervously. I sit up and wipe my face with the back of my hands and fluff my hair before opening the door. He comes in and follows me to the bed and sits next to me. Josh is the youngest boy and he acts like it too with his new Mohawk and ripped jeans.

"I heard my dad and I want to say I'm sorry. You're like a sister to me and I know my dad cares about you too. I guess Trish just pushes him to the limit sometimes." Josh says to me with a small grin

"Yea there's no way we are going to let dad kick you out the pack lil sis" says Chris as he walks in my room and plops on the other side of me. Chris is the optimist of the bunch with his surfer attitude and longer surfer hair to match.

"Thanks guys" I tell them honestly. I looked to the door waiting for my Trish to come in next but she doesn't. Chris must have noticed my tension

"Oh bad lil sis went for a run. She is totally pissed; she even mentally blocked us" Chris informed me. That sounds like my hothead girlfriend alright. I stand up and go to my closet to start packing when something else hits me

"Hey guys how come Leo has to go with us? He wasn't expelled" I ask them. They both stand and smile but its Josh who answers

"Big bro insisted on going when he found out what dad had planned" said Josh

"Yeah he said somebody had to keep an eye of his dorky sisters" Chris chimed in. This time the smile on my face was full blown and genuine.

I leapt from the closet and tackled them both to the ground; great payback for this morning. And just like that my mood got better as we laughed and wrestled on the floor. No matter what happens at the Hunter pack I will make sure Trish and I stick together so we can stay a family.

Trish Pov

As I see the only girl I ever love run from the room crying, her pain sparks my rage. I can feel the heat of my wolf rising to the surface and I'm not fighting it

"Trish calm down" Leo says to me holding up his hands. I open my mouth as my canines grow and sharpen

"Trish your father didn't mean what he said honey. He's just angry" my mother speaks to me gently. She is always defending him even when he's wrong. Claws sprout from my hands and I hear bones in my arms cracking

"Mother she is too mad to calm down" Leo says to our mom "Trish just go out and run it off" he then says to me.

Within seconds I run out the back door to the edge of the forest. I lift my human head to scream but it's replaced with a growl. My chest expands as bones crack, pop and elongate in my arms and legs. Gray fur begins to coat my body as my clothes rip off. I fall onto all fours as my nose becomes a snout. Once the change is complete my huge gray wolf takes off for the serenity of the woods.The wind against my fur is freeing.

My dad is the biggest asshole I know next to myself. How can he say that out relationship is unhealthy? I have told him a million times that I will always be with this girl and nobody else. She was the only one there to help me mend my broken heart when at the age of fourteen I was rejected by my true mate.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

Chase Mitchell was a wild boy; his mom couldn't handle him alone after his dad died so she sent him to live with his grandmother in Texas for a while. We didn't know we were mates back then since you can't find your mate until puberty. Then he came back to see his mom seven years later.

My run picks up speed fueled by the anger of this memory.

He came to the pack house to say hello and when our eyes met my whole body lit on fire. I was so happy to find my mate so young I couldn't control myself. I ran and jumped into his shocked arms trying to kiss him. He moved his face away from mine and put me down.

Then he ran out of the house; I started to cry and it was my mother who knew instantly that he was my mate. My father demanded to know why he acted the way he did towards me. He told my father he only came back to say goodbye to his mother and that he was going to go rouge. The worst part was he said he fell in love with another rouge she-wolf and she was now pregnant.

I ran outside where they were talking and punched him in the face. He mumbled a lame apology on the ground holding his jaw. The last thing I heard him say was that his love for her surpassed the calling to bond with his mate. My heart was broken and nobody comforted me in the right way. That is except for her; Jade.

She had just lost her family less than a year before and was staying with us. The night I was rejected she came into my room and cuddled with me. She didn't say anything, she just held me all night and every night for a week before asking me if I was ready to talk about it. I never felt like anyone understood me the way she did. I fell in love with her that night and every night since.

I start to slow my run, feeling the push of someone trying to mentally talk to me. I let my shield down irritably

"What?" I ask whoever it is

"I hope your calm now, we're leaving in ten minutes to go meet the Hunter pack" Leo tells me

"I'm on my way back now" I reply in my mind as I turn around and head back to the house. One thing I know is that I love Jade and I won't let anything keep us apart. If things go wrong my dad has another problem on his hands if he thinks he can take her away from me. I refuse to suffer from another broken heart.

Jordan Pov

"Dude check out the cheerleaders" Tony says to me. First day of school is over and we are standing by my car in the parking lot.

Tony is winking at every hot girl he sees. Luckily he has wolf looks to back him up with his thick dark hair and tan Spanish complexion. He is close but no competition to me with my all American playboy looks; soft dirty blond hair, bright hazel eyes, perfect smile and body. What girl could resist.

"Hey hot stuff" Tony says to one of the passing girls. She smiles but looks at me and winks. Too easy. Tony shoves my shoulder

"Man no fair! Why do you get all the girls?" he asks me pissed. I just laugh it off and shrug my shoulders

"It's called game my friend" I say to him getting into my car. He climbs in the passenger side instantly turning up the radio.

We cruise to the outskirts where the pack house is, just rocking out to music. I drop Tony off a block before mine. Pulling into the dirt driveway I know I'm forgetting something again. Oh well.

As soon as I get out the car my beautiful and equally annoying seven year old sister comes running out the house to me

"Hey big head! You're late and dad is mad at you" she says pointing her short little finger at me. I chuckle and kiss her on the forehead

"How are you today Angel?" I ask her passing her to walk in the front door

"If you keep messing up daddy will make me the next pack leader" she says to me teasingly like she does every day. She has that strong spirit just like our mom.

I walk in the kitchen and my dad is already standing there with that look on his face. Wonder what I did this time?

"Son I asked you to come home early today, remember?" He questions me folding his arms across his chest. I guess that's what I forgot

"Sorry, I got caught up" I lie. I open the fridge and pull out the milk carton.

"Since you're late I have to fill you in quickly. For the rest of the school year we will have a few houseguests." He tells me leaning against the door frame. I sit on the counter and take a drink of milk

"So what's the big deal? There is always a houseguest at some point here." I ask curiously

"These are hybrid wolves your age and they are from the Redwood pack" he says seriously.

Now that is weird why the hell is teen wolves from another pack coming here. I raise my eyebrow at him indicating I need further explanation.

"It seems Alpha Redwood is having a hard time controlling his youngest daughter. She recently got expelled from school." My father tells me. She sounds pretty cool to me, but wolves from other packs just aren't my thing

"So the brat is coming here to go to school?" I ask him and he nods

"She will be accompanied by her brother and another student that was expelled with her" my father speaks slowly. I know there is something he's leaving out

"What's the catch dad? Why this pack and what does this have to do with me? I begin to wonder taking another drink of milk

"I owe alpha Redwood a favor for one and for two his daughter has another problem" my alpha says with great hesitation. Okay now it's getting interesting. I wonder if she has one eye or three boobs or something exciting

"So what's wrong with the chick?" my curiously getting the better of me

"Well" he starts and stops and starts again "She-she believes she is a lesbian and is dating another she wolf" father says completely straight face.

I spit my milk out all over the floor. I can't believe what I'm hearing. Lesbian wolves? What is the world coming too? My dad glares at me while I'm holding my stomach laughing

"Sorry, but that is funny. I hope they're hot." I say getting off the counter. These girls are delusional; I can't wait to meet the little wolf freaks

"They will be here soon son so please try and act like the next leader of the pact" My father demands of me.

I nod eagerly and head up the stairs to my room to change.

If I could get a lesbian to fall for me that would be the ultimate challenge and my greatest playboy achievement yet. Yes I think this school year is starting to look up. Once in my room I hear a car pulling up to the house. Oh boy let the games begin!
