Hey, I couldn't find a better title for this chapter.

Let's crank the time machine to about 4 years ago, when I was 10 and starting to make new friends after being split into another class. I was in the school's Chinese literature club (it was mandatory because the godforsaken principal didn't allow fun) and having fun and making friends. Then, I thought of drawing for some reason I'll never know. I use to hate drawing.

So I drew a comic. If I remember it correctly, it was about some over dramatic boy being caught by a prefect on duty and being overdramatic over it. I lost the comic afterwards but I think it was titled Drama King.

And thus begin to start of My School Life, which will later on turn into this book. Afterwards I brought an exercise book from my school's bookshop and drew multiple comics as chapters, all spanning about a page and a half long. Most of them were about events that happened in real life at my school, hence the name My School Life. The first book had a total of ten chapters altogether if I remember it. But I don't remember how many chapters were there in book two.

Eventually the comics went around my class, and it was pretty popular for a while. But eventually it died down, and the comics were kinda forgotten.

I also has multiple attempts on writing the comic into a book instead, much like this book on wattpad you're reading right now. In fact, the cover of this book right now was a digital redraw of one of the written My School Life attempts.

Eventually though, I stopped drawing those series of comics altogether, aside from the occasional 5 or 6 panel comic. And by the time I graduated and went to my secondary school the entire thing was forgotten. But the idea of telling what happened in my school and trying to preserve my memories of my school always stuck on me. So after some time and some decision making, I started writing down whatever happened in SJKC Damansara down on wattpad in this book.

Also, this book was supposed to be titled My School Life, but after noticing just how many books on wattpad share the same title, I changed it to My Malaysian School Life.

And fun fact: if you can't tell, some of the chapters in this book started off as a comic. Life lessons is the third comic of book one and M...Monkeys? came from book two. Bats was originally a draft comic that I never got to finish after I stopped comic drawing
